And imagine when watching one of those flashy '60s movies (for me) a friend says to me, "this is Romina's dad... Gianni (I can't remember his last name) Power" ... and I realized that Power didn't stand for "POWER!", but was his last name. I cried for months.

...I'm Albano Power! ... tadaaa... Space Halberd! I'll split you in four and more, I'll put a cross on you, and you won't be there anymore! Power Albano! Hell Yeah! (I still haven't recovered from the shock of the discovery)

Until they separated, I was absolutely convinced that they were "Albano Power" and "Romina Power" and that for convenience it was said "Albano & Romina (both) Power". In fact, I considered that Albano Power to be the worst name in Italian music, then I learned the truth... and I cried. For weeks.

It's not written anywhere, Orchid. In fact, I didn't say you were talking nonsense; I said, "I think you took the wrong example," talking about Napalm because everything needs to relate to the Group, in this case: NIN. He (Reznor) always associates the titles of songs and albums with their content, so if Reznor makes Fragile, you expect The Fragile. Now that you've told me you take your name from the first Opeth album, your first message makes a lot more sense, being a band that has a ton of Impact (which I like) a ton of melodies (which annoy me, there are too many for the "genre" they play) and an absurd amount of melancholy (which makes me want to tell them to fuck off, for heaven's sake, just jump out the window). But if I don't know what you listen to, I can't understand what "impact-melody-melancholy" means to you. Because in this album, those three things are definitely there; there won't be eight tons like I think you seem to like, but there is a ton, yes indeed, but now I understand why you might not like it. Before, I couldn't, because if you don't compare and don't give reference points, you can't be understood.

Remember what the doormouse said: "Feeeeed your Heeeeeaaaad! ... Feeeeeed your Heeeeaaaad!"

Beautiful, right? The rounded Jewel Case with the fine opening... just when you hold it in your hand, you can’t help but let out a spontaneous "EH" while nodding your head. When I saw it in a store in Rimini, I said "CAZ!" so loudly that everyone swore I had hurt myself. (Then I said "EH" and nodded my head.)

oooopplà, you're right, their names are Williams and Garreth, they don't seem like surnames from the Ruhr. I was misled by the genre they produce, quite Kraut-Industrial-Late-Seventies. Now I understand why the monstrously German E-Mule doesn't have their discography, because they're not German, the guy is a hardcore nationalist. I thank him again because he's a god... he even has the Bootlegs, I'm serious, the Bootlegs of about 30 bands, he's a god. Ah, but did they reissue Egebamyasi on SuperAudio CD? I bought Tago Mago in SA last November, I knew they were supposed to send Ege too but then I forgot to check (how gay).

Super 78 is in NEU!2, NEU!78 does not exist.

Ah, I think these are "cute."

Well... and the Can? Have you forgotten the simplest ones? There have really been many champions in the seventies European scene; honestly, I'm a bit annoyed by Eno's friends, the "Cluster," who made two incredibly dull ambient albums (okay, they were very ahead of their time, but just put on the CD today and it drives you nuts). Then they called Mr. Eno for the third one, and they made an extremely dull Ambient album with good production :D / The only one I have just one album of is a band that has never been reissued; Maiko sent them to me, called "This Heat." This album here -> Ingrandisci questa immagine <- Deceit, but they arrived late, in '81. The others, I have their complete discographies thanks to a guy who roams E-Mule, a crazy dude who probably has about 80 gigs of just seventies Kraut, a man to be thankful for the rest of his days for having existed. PS: a Kraftwerk album, listened to now, sounds boring to me. Huge band, pioneers and all that, but it sounds dull. NEU!? No, I can even binge on all three of them in a row. Notice one thing: in NEU! 78 there’s a song called "Super 78." Listen to that and then listen to "Wish" by Nine Inch Nails (the Broken version), and then call Reznor and spit in his face. Anyway, I can't seem to find the best German band; too many champions.
