Ah, another German group that did more or less the same things as Kraftwerk are Cluster, and they were around a few years earlier. I'm not crazy about Cluster either, but maybe they should be included even before Kraft in the list of pioneers. The only album of theirs that I like is one they made with Eno, which is indeed a piece of galactic ambient, but it has some really unique sounds and, above all, quite ahead of its time. No no (or yes yes?), we’re thinking the same thing: the bubbly danceable electronics are all theirs; since '75, they’ve released a lot of stuff that was a decade ahead of its time. The thing is, "electronic" is a big word that encompasses a thousand things and a thousand genres; it’s not all dancey and bubbly. I fully agree that a lot of it derives from Kraftwerk, but an Aphex Twin or any other “heavier” electronic artist comes from different places. Continuing with the example, it definitely draws more from Neu! than from Radio Activity. The Krafts are an enormous group, but they don’t make the kind of music I enjoy. A lot of respect, but I listen to something else. I’ve never heard of the others you mentioned; I’ll ask some friends if they can hook me up with copies too.

I prefer to listen to the first three rather than Diverse Autobahn etc. However, there's a bit of exaggeration with Kraftwerk; they are among the pioneers, but they didn't do everything by themselves. Their electronic albums are beautiful, but I can't listen to them even now; I prefer the perfected derivations. Above all, I prefer Neu! by a mile. This is enjoyable to listen to, but it’s not exactly groundbreaking since, back then, a ton of stuff like that was coming out.

You started the conversation, didn’t you? I only told you that I disagreed with the images you were presenting of the album, and I mentioned that a metal-rooted album doesn’t really align with this review. First, you came out with the claim that it had nothing to do with metal, then you said there were no groups in metal with strings and tribal percussion, then you backtracked and said that there are, but they don’t know how to use them. In the end, you agreed with me, saying that it is metal-rooted, and then you threw in your comments about the PC, the holidays, August here and there, but... you did it all on your own. You’re the one playing by yourself to see who knows more, having gone 100km to see them, etc. etc... Reread yourself instead of acting superior.
