...But then he is still alive!

Yes Psycho, certain records of theirs are a total joke. Actually, it's much more about the jokes than the good records. Like Acid Mothers Temple, who release 10 albums in three years, one really nice and nine good and proper stinkers :D. I insist that Üdü Wüdü kicks the asses of thousands of bands.

Kosmo, the T-Amp works like all other amplifiers, same connections and nothing new in the application. What's new is that it costs Twenty instead of Thousand, and it's the size of a sandwich rather than a tray of lasagna meant for the whole family at Christmas. It only has upsides. That said, if you spend $2,000 you’ll get a better amplifier than the T-Amp, that’s true, but you’re paying just two hundred times more. As of today. But I bet my salary that in a couple of years, with $200, you'll have a microchip amplifier worth as much as a current one for two thousand.

I don't have the T-Amp because I already had an amp. But I had a friend get one, and as soon as we have time, I'll try connecting it to a surround system. My idea was to buy three, so I could connect them to the 7.1 speakers two by two and leave the center speaker alone since it's more powerful. If it works (and it should), then for a mere 600 euros I should get the performance of a system that costs seven times as much. These are things that are good for the market; we need some renewal every now and then. Regarding the overall discussion about downloading, I'm one of those who sees more positive aspects than negative ones in the advent of downloads. Many more positive aspects.

Apart from the discussions of legitimacy that don't interest me, the loader is right about the sound quality. With 500€ worth of PC equipment, I got a better sound than with two or three million (lire) spent on composing a stereo over time. If you spend 5,000€ or more, you’re getting the best of the best of new electronics, but with 2,000€, you’re clearly defeated by 500€ worth of PC material. When I buy CDs: I open them, rip them onto my PC at 224, and then put them on the shelf never to be opened again. I've read several times that the differences between mp3 and audio tracks are not detectable by the human ear... honestly, I don’t really care to let my brave hound listen to my CDs. The mp3s on my PC sound better than the CDs on my stereo. Take the T-Amp, a $20 chip, and it beats an 800€ amplifier. Besides the fact that on PC you don't just hear the music. It’s a six thousand percent better quality/price ratio. Then of course, sometimes you hear certain files ripped at 128 from some shitty ripper and you want to tear your hair out, that’s true, but that's another story.

Üdü Wüdü is much more musical than Antmo, less pretentious. By a lot. Of course, they’re not the uk-Subs or Bad Religion, but they’re much easier to listen to. Üdü Wüdü for a better world: leflau, leflà, eshkohlkah.
