I'm not an extremist; I've just understood very clearly and with exact precision what I can't stand. I've figured out, in detail, why that particular thing bothers me so much. And I understood it by feeling it, a lot. Not for nothing, the two things that annoy me the most are the two things that are most played and listened to in my city (west coast rap with unfiltered bass keyboards and gangsta & ultra-simple punk themes with just snare and guitars that sound cheap, with a always the same bass and themes of screw everything and everyone, myself included). Maybe it's a rejection due to overexposure, I wouldn't know. But I know very well that I can't stand it, exactly that stuff. If even one of the points that make up those two mentioned mixes is removed, it's less annoying. Because it's not a matter of dismissing them a priori; it’s just that I can't stand it, which is why I’m proud of not knowing the life, death & miracles of those two mixes, because I consider them inferior and unworthy of being listened to. It's like when someone boasts about not knowing all of Ramazzotti's songs by heart, or how MetallaroBionico boasts about not having the Mayhem poster in his room (well, I take pride in not having that one in particular, too). Everyone has their own yardstick for judging what’s valuable or not, and in my opinion, your yardstick for rap is out of this world, that’s all.

SxM has gone down in history as the second true album of Italian rap with guts, made as an album and not like Rapadopa, which although it had more advanced beats (Gruff at the time was giving everyone apples on the beats, those by Neffa & Deda were nice, but derivative from Gruff). If this had been released at the end of '93 and SxM in '97, it would be even more untouchable than SxM. Clearly superior beats, metrics, and groove. The themes are different, yes, but Neffa's greatness lies precisely in the fact that he does one thing and doesn't repeat himself. SxM was a rebellious album, this is another thing entirely. If he had repeated himself on the same subjects, it would have been tiresome. Just look at Assalti Frontali, who in 16 years have only changed their shoes at most; they are indeed a must as well, but compared to Neffa, they have to run miles, and I mean run fast. I’m not getting angry, I don’t want to offend you; when someone tells me "damn, you’re ignorant about punk!", I respond "yes, and I take pride in it." It’s not a crime if you don’t like rap, just that if you don’t know something and don’t want to know it, it's better to have the standard one than the two of "it could have been better," because this better couldn't have been done any other way. It brought together people from Lecce (Dj Lugi) to Turin (Double S), encompassing everything that passed through that line (i.e. all of Italy, at that time Sicily had no representation). There are Sardinians, Marchigiani, Campani, Romans, Emilians, Lombards, and they all crush it. It’s a blatant indisputable masterpiece, even just for the greatness of the project, never replicated. First & Only & Unrepeatable, now and forever.

Cptgaio, if for you the crap on the radio is the only convincing thing about a record produced by the crème de la crème of European Rap (the only ones missing are the NTM, just them, because otherwise in Italy we had a style/content relationship comparable only to New York), then sorry, but you’re ignorant about Rap. I didn’t say you’re an idiot, but you definitely ignore Rap, guaranteed. And then this thing about "comfort" is a bit strange; I’ve never heard anyone call Velvet Underground & Nico "Sunday Morning," just because it’s the most famous song. Just say you didn’t know and you’ll look better. Uochitoki, Neffa is the last person who would say such a thing; the only thing he has always complained about is the legalization of Ganjah. Anyway, even with Pop he performed a miracle: half of babbiona Italy (in the sense of the babbiona part of Italy) was singing La Mia Signorina without realizing it was about Ganjah growing on the ceiling of his building. I even heard my mother singing it back then, and I stopped laughing last month. Sure, it may have expired, but never to the levels of Massimo Di Cataldo or similar; at least he can always draw a smile out of you.

He reviewed the single with the wrong cover (first I forgot a "Not", in fact I said single 2 but voted 5) and messed up the name of the group; actually, he doesn’t even know it’s a group. Because the single isn’t even by Neffa, actually, it was produced with a base by Deda, melodic parts by Palma, and the rap is solely by Neffa. Then in the video, you can see the entire rap scene that mattered, all of it. No one is missing; even Aliosha from C.Royale is there, and he didn’t even include a hair. Neffa's first album is 107 Elementi, although it still has many bases by Deda. His first truly solo work is the EP Chicopisco, a quirky piece but containing Grand Finesse, where he brings Italian rap to a level of style never seen before and incomparable. He doesn’t say much, but damn it, when he does, he sounds like a god. After that, not selling as he deserved, he turned to crap. And he did well; after so much hard work, he deserved a bit of money.

At SIAE, this is registered as Neffa & I Messaggeri Della Dopa, self-titled album. The "Title Track" (even though Aspettando Il Sole is not the Title Track) is not at all a generational anthem but a monetary hymn made with the clear, pure, and justifiable intention of making the right money to survive, like all Italian Rap productions from '94 onwards, where at least one song was included for the radio. Neffa is not a fool at all, but someone who has explored nine million musical styles while always remaining at the top of the Italian scene, then he got tired of playing and started making money. But he can, because he's already proven that if he wants to, he's God. I won't even read the review, given that you messed up the group's name and cover. There's the cover of the single, and the single is worth 2. The album is worth 4 or 5 million, even just for the two true title tracks. Too bad that the most absurd cases on the site voted, all of them self-proclaimed connoisseurs who don't even know the album. But if you had written The Park Side Of The Mood or Pear Of The Park, who knows what chaos. But the absurd cases serve this purpose: to make ordinary people feel superior.
