"Fuck the '3 Mc's & One DJ'? I have something to say, my dear good cock." It was a fuck you in the sense that they fucked that motto in this album :). But TT5B, I really hate it. ///// " (1/2 HOUR A DAY, SOMETIMES 1), " Yeah, sure. 200 reviews in 2 years, 2000 comments with 18 nicknames, because whether there are 4 you can tell that to someone who arrived yesterday, all in half an hour sometimes one. Sure. Do you think we’re idiots? Maybe. You can't do 200 reviews and comment them ten times over in half an hour, there isn’t enough time. /// <<< I don't think it's elegant to call someone disabled just for a minimal criticism, >>> Whether he is disabled, I’ve observed that many times, for much more than a year. I don't care about minimal criticisms, I even allow anonymous comments, can you believe it? Then I understand that you, having arrived recently (by "recently," I mean even a year and a half ago), haven’t enjoyed the real punisher, and you think he has always been a case like he is now. Maybe you missed when he copied reviews and denied the obvious; maybe you missed the immense crap he spouted in every review with scores for albums that I doubt he ever even listened to. A true case, even if repentant, for me remains a case. I’m not looking for him to remind him every time, but if he comes to me, I think it’s fair & right to remind him what I think of him. Maybe sooner or later he’ll trust and get help. Come on, 200 reviews in two years in half an hour a day, please. /// "captainhowdy on debaser everyone insulting everyone for every little crap outside the toilet" And you, great connoisseur of the site, who the hell are you? I've never seen or heard you; you're another one who arrived yesterday, read 30 of the 16,000 reviews, and thinks he’s read everything? The hunt for cases is always open.

You have 12 nicknames, you’ve written 200 reviews with 12 nicknames, at least 8000 comments with 24 nicknames, you spend your life here, and then you come to talk to others about the “economy of at least 4 billion things to know to minimally define oneself as 'a man'.” Besides the fact that you brought up the 4 billion economy talk, it wasn't about that. The discussion wasn’t about this record, but “certain mistakes made in the past.” You don’t even understand the discussions; you have 12 nicknames, you’ve written 200 reviews with 12 nicknames, at least 8000 comments with 24 nicknames, you spend your life here, and you come to talk to others about the “economy of at least 4 billion things to know to minimally define oneself as 'a man'.” You know very well that I consider you mentally impaired; I’ve told you many times. You knew exactly that I would respond "you're mentally impaired," obviously not in such a clean way, I would have played with it. You knew, and you did it because you like to hear it repeated: you’re sick. Whenever I have time and motivation, though, I never deny the pleasure of repeating it to you again: you have serious problems, get help. I say this for you. You know that too (that’s why you always come back).

Ah, another great track from "them" is "N.Y. Is Good," the opening track of Simply Mortified, the only album from the BS 2000 project. Basically, Youch & Adrock are joking around in response to the mega-joke (from the same year) by Mike D, who released the Country album "The Greatest Hits Of Country Mike." Country Mike is really just a parody, and BS 2000 is almost there too, but the first track is magnificent. If you want, I have it.

Can you imagine that for me - excluding the crap from 2004 - Ill Communication is "the least good"? Still nice, but too standard Rap to be Beastie Boys. In the end, the best tracks from that album are pure Rap (for me: Do It, Get It Together, Sure Shot, Alright Hear This), and after three mega innovative albums to come out in '94 (a year with 200 fabulous Rap albums, really two hundred) with that one felt a bit underwhelming. Nonetheless, it’s “officially recognized” as the BB album preferred by rockers. Everything adds up.

But it's not exactly funk. The nice thing is that you can rap over it if you want. They can't, but if you give it to Redman, he could make a mess out of this stuff. You can sample funk, sure, but you can't rap over it with ease. Taken as an instrumental and only instrumental, yes, it's worth little, but for those who are used to buying rap singles with track 1 standard song, track 2 a cappella, track 3 just the beat and listening to them comfortably and happily, it's a great record. The only two tracks that I really think are good are "In 3's" from Check Your Head and "Instant Death" from Hello Nasty. Those are pieces that can stand on their own; the rest are mostly rap beats.

<< after certain mistakes they made in the past. >> But what mistakes? They messed up a record because their main "musician" quit music. Stop. You don't understand shit about rap, you don't know shit, you wouldn't recognize an mc - one who is one - without someone telling you their name... and you talk about mistakes. Then, my god, the Beastie Boys? Give me a break, avoid it. Maybe you can say "I didn't like their albums," but realize that your opinion, in such "matters," is worth less than zero. To be honest, it’s worth less than zero in every field. /// Ghemison, "The In Sound From Way Out" was a greatest hits of - only instrumental - pieces already released on Check Your Head & Ill Communication, the coordinates are still there, but you can tell that these are patched-together tracks. Here, since all the tracks are unreleased, there's more cohesion and it's more enjoyable to listen to. Or maybe, TISFWO, I’ve always seen it poorly because I already knew the tracks, I wouldn’t know. /// << now it seems they're preparing a remix version with the addition of vocal parts >> I don't see that as a good thing at all, in fact, I see it as a really bad idea. /// <<< I think you're making a huge mistake... >>> ...naaahhh...

Brother & Magnet I haven't heard yet, but from this last month I really liked: DOWN (fantastic), Witchcraft, Causa Sui, and of course OM. Big Business wasn't bad either. A somewhat slow summer, but then again a lot of stuff came out at the beginning of the year (Clutch, Trouble, Minsk, Solace, Middian, Arboretum, Assemble Head in..., Giant Brain, Titan, etc. etc. etc.)

I'm very good friends with El Thule from Bergamo; the next time they come to Italy, I should be able to see them live. From what I've heard, they improve quite a bit from the album. PS: the new one from OM, my goodness.
