He's cool and he always has been, but for the past fifteen years, I've been wondering how he doesn't realize that he's inept at the microphone. A clear example of this is on this album, where his singing ruins everything. It's not that he's the worst of the worst, but he really pales in comparison to the people he brings in. You can't listen to Black Thought and then listen to him; it makes you want to laugh.

A piece of shit. But, really a piece of shit. The true kind. Poor Ellroy.

<< The centripetal "Till Kingdom Come" (a march with a circular riff and psychedelic nooks a la Pink Floyd) and the magnificently bucolic "Seven Seers" are worth the third star. >> Okay, I’m in. But I’ll raise the stakes with "I'm Gone," so devoid of meaning that it takes away the third star and we’re back to two. Those who made "Drifting Down Streams," "Good Moanin," "Get Up Down," and the hidden track by the Feathers... can’t waste space on a CD with that piece. It’s awful.

<< co-co-ri-co, co-co-ri-co, ueiignaiignaiign... so many memories >> Unfortunately, not knowing the protagonists and the places mentioned, you laugh half as much as half. But still watch it Sardegna Sballa

What a shame to see them reduced to simple rock n roll. << "Feathers" is their most watered-down work >> Huh? It's their most psychedelic, fuzzy, acid-laden, bastardized album. It's slow, that's true, but in terms of sound, it's ten times more devastating than the first (and there are even two guitarists instead of one). The first one is just a moment faster, but you can tell they're still just kids.

The least beautiful album Claypool has made. The least beautiful album Buckethead has made. The least beautiful album by Brain Mantia. Worrel has done worse, but also better. It doesn't suck, but what a waste of great minds. /// <<< Primus were another (great) thing... >>> Maybe you didn't mean it, but: they haven't split up. In fact. For me, the best album is precisely the latest EP. The next one will be even better, yes.

Beautiful album, but they couldn’t replicate the 15 minutes of At Giza. That piece is indeed perfect.

I read The Catcher in the Rye as a teenager, and I thought it was crap. Then, I reread it after twenty, and I must say with great astonishment: it was still crap.
