For me, on the contrary, Drone is one of those words that can't mean a damn thing nor can it be a musical genre with clear boundaries. But what does it mean, for me? It's a definition, period. So, for me, jazz is a musical genre that combines congas played at 4000 bpm and the sounds of sheet metal crashing against walls of whipped cream. What I’ve written about drone is its definition known to most, and it’s the same one listed on Wikipedia (which writes a mountain of nonsense about music, the value of opinions being less than zero). Definitions have only one purpose: to make clear what music someone produces, and if you put Morkobot in Drone, you send that someone off the rails. On the "three records" of beginning and end, it’s like that. Because there are only the Drone-Doom "records" of "bands," which is what Drone means. There are no bands of Australian folk music that only use the didgeridoo (AND THANKFULLY!), so if you say Drone, it’s normal to mean Dilan Carson & Stephen O'Malley.
