She is certainly more knowledgeable than I am, but if you don't know Squarepusher, start listening to the albums from the latest one down. Good job with these fuckbuttons, huh, but since you say "verginello," I recommend the most famous and renowned one (in the scene in general) to play it safe.

What? You had the super rare split with Oneida, I've already given it to half the world eager to sand down their temples. The PCW track is wonderful, two loops over a container of distortions, the famous tea cup.

Ah, anyway, I didn't explain myself well: the real difference lies in the fact that Justice uses very "realistic" sounds like basses and kicks, while Soulwax actually plays the bass and drums, and you can really feel it even without watching them on video. So even at human volumes, you enjoy listening to it. Of course, at killer volume it improves, but it's not strictly necessary, for the others mentioned, it is.

I'm not saying they're "the best," I wrote it in the review and reiterated it in the comment. Both Justice and Soulwax are the only ones left that can still be somewhat defined as Big Beat. They may not be the C.Bros of "Out Of Control" (as a genre), but when they get the kick going, it’s not just tum-cha tum-cha. It's not that I don't like Digitalism and Boyz Noize, it’s just that they don't use sounds from a chamber but rather from a "hall." You can spend ten thousand euros on your stereo, but you'll never be able to keep the volume of a proper venue for hours (we all have neighbors, unfortunately), so Boyz Noize's "farts" lose their meaning if your stomach isn't shaking. I wrote that above as well. Narrowing it down, they all make electronic music, okay, but I believe we're here to clarify to the point of madness, not to lump everything together in a general "unz unz." << Does that mean anything to you? >> Shitty commercial. Aside from Knuckles, whom I heard two years ago and oh oh oh... he put Sèbastiènn's Walkman in the middle of the fields, and... wow wow wow... Idealistic by Digitalism. And if Knuckles is playing it, let’s just say that should be enough.

I Them Crooked are unbelievably bad, at least judging by the "preview" on YouTube and the two tracks on Myspace. If they were my neighbors, I would say "cute," but since it's John Paul Jones (I mean it), I'd say spitting in the right eye is a must. They sound like the Arctic Monkeys. Have you heard Naam and Plastic Crimewave Sound? You should like them.

It's all your fault then, if it were up to me electronics would have remained just that devastating. Just a few years ago, Four Tet seemed so light, almost impalpable. Maybe after hearing Burial, I would have said for half an hour straight "oh but when the hell does this shit of a record start?" :D

Absolutely! You know I can't help but trust you. (Am I the only one seeing two different characters?) Luk, I found you an unbeatable one

I'm updating Four Tet after listening to "moth" for three days in a row; that single practically came out the same day I was updating my (his) discography (a week? two, exaggerating) so it just happened to land in my hands. However, I'm more interested in Burial and Kode9 these days. I've always had a ton of rhythmic stuff like FT; I'm only now starting to get into minimal things with few melodic sounds as I age (still in my twenties though). Always, of course, interspersed with crushing riffs and pounding drums, well.

Finally, you have returned to uncover things never even mentioned before.

I enjoyed the link that Kosmo posted in the playlist some time ago, with fish or whales. I downloaded it in full and it was a nice listen while working on my PC, I've heard it twice on loop. I need to find something else to fill the CD and burn them (their discography is too small) so I can enjoy them better, but the fact that I don't want to leave them just on the hard drive means a lot to me; I don't let just any jerk get in my car.
