Why Zack left Rage they never said. They broke up, and that’s it. The only hint they gave us is that there were "production differences." What comes to my mind (and it’s just an opinion) is that Zack wanted to steer more towards rap (see "Born As Ghost" & "Mic Check"), while the band leaned towards rock (see "Sleep Now In The Fire" and that crap that is Audioslave). Anyway, Zack will release his solo album in the spring, but it will be rap.

Is the result good? YES. I also wrote to you that I enjoy listening to the first one, it just bothers me to hear them described as geniuses or inventors (and if you download that stuff, you will think so too). I wasn't struck by the fact that you called me ignorant, but rather that you gave 3 (3/5 = good) to this CRAP. They sound like Linkin Park, and that’s not a compliment.

Or download "The Gentle Art Of Making Enemies" (FNM) and try to imagine you're listening to the System, you'll see it won't take much imagination to believe it... quite the opposite./// Anyway, Results May Very is a SHIT album, and as RAP-Metal it offends both genres.

Malakian is great (he writes ALL the music himself, apart from Sugar and a few others), but Tankian and the others aren't worth much. SOAD is a brilliant ASSEMBLAGE of various '90s bands. THEY didn't invent a damn thing. I enjoy listening to the first album and some of the second (the third doesn't exist), but to say they are genius and innovative is a stretch. Trust me: Download Snot/Get Some - -F.N.M. / King for a day Fool For A Life Time - and you’ll change your mind. I'm not saying you don't understand anything; it's just that you haven't heard those two albums, then you'll see that your esteem for the System decreases...

This is a SERIOUS comment, and it deserves a serious response: Download "Digging The Grave" by Faith No More, and then tell me if Tankian and Soad are Original (as far as the "melodic" and "warm" parts of the voice are concerned), and then listen to the whole album "Fool for a Day, King For A Lifetime," also by them (the song is taken from there). You’ll see that you’ll change your mind./// Then, open the booklet of S.O.A.D. and see which band they greet first (SNOT), and listen to their (Snot's) only album (the leader died), and tell me if the Riffs and the angry parts of Tankian's voice and company are original; you’ll change your mind part 2. It’s also similar to Jello Biafra (D.Kennedys), but it’s shamelessly inspired by PATTON (FNM) and STRAIT (Snot). Then go see them live (I saw them with Snot) and see if Tankian can keep up...

and what would be the pearl of S.O.A.D, ??....Spiders??

Exactly, and I reiterate, in simple words: I bought the third one (the very day it came out), and I regretted it; therefore, I “didn't even remotely consider” the 4th, and after downloading and listening to it, I realized that “I did very well.” Bye. /// I reiterate without resentment, anyway Toxicity is the poor man's copy of S.O.A.D.: ATWA, Chop Suey, Aerials, Toxicity, Science, they are the commercial evolution of SOAD (monotonous riffs, predictable melody and breaks), the rest of the tracks didn't make me regret the purchase (Deer Dance and Needles above all), but with CUBErt, P.L.U.C.K., Soil, and War we are on another planet. SOAD is genius (even though VERY inspired by SNOT for the riffs and FAITH NO MORE for the vocals), but Toxicity is trivial and predictable. You could have signed your name anyway.

I have another question for you: Do you prefer S.o.a.d. or Toxicity? Or maybe S.T.A??? Please let me know, I'm curious, no hard feelings, just trying to understand your tastes; that 3 given by a De-Baser user shocked me...

Ah!! three months later and a few distracted additional listens, I reiterate....
