Queens Of The Stone Age Songs For The Deaf

In the meantime, I'm waiting for the release of "Eagles Of Death Metal," and let's see what the desert king has in store for us this time. For the next one from Queens, there’s still some waiting to do.

In fact, my favorite is the self-titled one, written 85% by Josh. It's not that I don't like Rated and Songs, but the first one aligns more with my tastes. Then we have to consider that now Homme, with the fame he has gained, can call anyone to play with him… Maybe they'll form a band with Les Claypool or Dirk Lance… MAYBE!! Anyway, for those who love SFTD, losing Olivieri will be a tough blow… provided it’s all true and provided they don’t make peace… I'm waiting for a statement on qotsa.com; on an unofficial site, they can write whatever they want.

I read the news on thefade.net and on all the various unofficial sites of the band. There's nothing official, but even if there was, IF Homme really kicked out Olivieri, it's not like it’s a huge loss. If it's true about Lanegan, that's another story, but even that isn't exactly a big deal. THE REAL DISASTER would be reading "Josh Homme retires from the scene." The others are worth half of Homme. After Kyuss, he formed QOTSA, and the others had some good bands, (except for Mondo Generator) but of lesser value. As long as Homme is around, there’s hope; if he disbands a group and changes the name, it’s not like it’s a big deal. I much prefer Kyuss POST Olivieri, maybe even QOTSA post Olivieri will be better.

Go to the link, at least it changes the subject, they've written way too many anonymous nonsense.

I vote for Jeremy FUCKING IDIOT, MORON & TOTAL ASSHOLE. I'm not a metalhead, I can't stand the DT. BUT YOU JEREMY ARE REALLY A FUCKING IDIOT. A LOT A LOT A LOT A LOT. Not that I care much, but if I think something I prefer to say it and write it. F U C K I N G I D I O T. (authenticated it's easier to read)

Nice review. I like progressive too, I’ll try to soulseek it. But who are "Balletto di Bronzo"? I have the complete discography of Area and they get me pumped like few others, same goes for PFM, should I get these Bronzetti?

I agree with you, QOTSA don't really sound stoner; maybe the first self-titled album, but the other two feel more like rock with a pinch of stoner, maybe a song or two. For example, from the latest album, I find the title track very stoner. Psycho, what do you think is the best album by Fu-Manchu? I only have The Action Is Go (Nice but not a masterpiece) and In Search OF, which I consider one of the most stoner albums ever, not to mention a fantastic record, and many have told me that the others are not really necessary since I don't have ADSL and would have to buy them. What do you think?
