I'm a friend of Nick Oliveri's and he asked if I would post a statement on his behalf. Nick's very upset about the whole situation and wants his fans to know that he didn't quit the band. When we spoke on the phone Friday night I addressed some of the rumors that have been floating around the Internet. He was out for a drive to clear his head. Musical currents and/or genres are just meant to simplify things, and that's it. For music stores to arrange their shelves, for reviews to understand what they're talking about. Musical currents are created by journalists, not you. Everyone can have their opinion, but that certainly does NOT simplify things. Look at this link: link rotto (you need to delete the spaces), or go to link rotto or any damn site in the world and see how Mudvayne and all the other Nu-metal & Crossover bands are classified. They either lump them all into crossover or all into nu-metal; I’m not saying this, the WHOLE WORLD is. I bought this CD in September 2000, and if I’m not mistaken, it had been released no more than 2 weeks earlier (and I shouldn’t be mistaken), so I know it very well and I stand by my rating. P.S. I’m glad to make you laugh; at least I serve SOME purpose on this site.

The point is that you receive the notification, then you click and come to read the comment, and it drives you crazy to read a comment that makes no sense, like this one. And yet you read it all, didn't you?
