Come on, they’re in every cartoon; when they open the lunchbox, there’s usually sushi on one side and the rice balls on the other, like Rocky Joe was eating them by the cartload, or Bruce from Holly and Benji (number 8 in the niuppy), the guy from Doraemon. Basically, the difference between a global cartoon and a Japanese anime is the "rice balls" (I'm not sure about the name).
