I started with the Melvins two months ago, and I've fallen in love. Now I've picked up Gluy Porch Treatments, Ozma, and Lysol, and I think I'll complete their discography. The Melvins are a STELLAR, MAGNIFICENT, AMAZING band. / The live performance Passenger mentions is more interesting than it seems, since it's the New Year's concert from 2000 (so they already had an advantage because everyone was out of their minds, and that disorientation benefits Live), actually a concert of MR. BUNGLE (bows) Melvins and Fantomas, later released under the name FantomasMelvins because the Bungle are not under Ipecac; anyway, it's a GREAT CD. // In case anyone is interested, a ton of Melvins EPs were released on Ipecac Records in 2001, more than 4 for sure, but I don't remember the exact number. // This album deserves a 5; I listened to it after 10 years (yes, Hal is from 1994) and it felt like it was released yesterday, 5/5 without a second thought. // Michelì, great review; now I demand one for Lysol, even though it might have too many tracks to be reviewed ;), but hurry up, because as soon as the CDs arrive, I review them in bursts :D

Yes, I knew that, but I didn’t know what he did for a living beyond this mythical phrase: “See, I think drugs have some ‘good’ things for us, I really do. And if you don’t believe drugs have done good things for us, do me a favor: go home tonight and take all your albums, all your tapes, and all your cd’s and burn’em. Cause you know what? The musicians who’ve made all the great music that’s enhanced your lives throughout the years… RRRRRRReal fucking high on drugs.”

...Mìììì Opiate on vinyl... I lost the fight for coolness, I only have the CDs, all limited editions but CDs :); for vinyl, I only get electronic music (but sometimes).

I saw them at the Link in Bologna, very good and unique, I think with a Tribal House group like Family something, a nice little concert.

So there are Four versions!! And I’ll add that this is the only Tool album that was also made on MC along with Opiate (but in '92 it was still in use) so I can't help but show off a little too. Thanks for the tip, I meant Bill Hicks.

Let's talk about Tool's third album, even though Opiate is an EP. I would also add "Dark Wave" to the genres, even though it's undoubtedly more of a progressive metal. Hooker With A Penis has an amazing text centered on the "commercialization of music," and I would have explored that further. The album is available with THREE types of Artwork, with two covers and two types of CDs. The first has this cover and the CD with the self-pumping, the second has the cover with the addition of many Third Eyes and the CD with the self-pumping, and the third has the second cover and the star of the "religious cult" of the 4, which is very rare. The album is dedicated to a guy whose identity I still haven't figured out, does anyone know who the hell he is? (I don't feel like translating stuff from the official site) // I just wanted to add that, not to criticize :) in the spirit of "perhaps not everyone knows that..." from the crossword puzzle magazine.

You give 4/5 to the worst Iron Maiden album and the same 4/5 to UMMAGUMMA?

No, you're right Francè, the best of the 90s is EVIL EMPIRE. :)
