Are you out of your mind? Are we doing an album review or is this a den of children arguing? And then, I would avoid certain racist statements! I listen to the Darkness and I think they’re musically decent; the riffs are quite catchy and sometimes remind me of AC/DC. I wouldn’t compare the singer to Freddie Mercury like many do, but he has a good voice that I like. The bassist, as someone pointed out, is pretty weak—very weak, I’d say... From a musical standpoint (I can only comment on the guitar aspect), it’s very vintage. Great instruments (all Gibson Les Pauls) and great amplifiers (Marshall SLP and Mesa). A very ROCK sound, quite pleasant, in my opinion. As for their image, they are indeed ridiculous... with those jumpsuits... I mean! But it’s just an image like any other! Even Kiss with their painted faces were laughable (I adore them)... and Angus Young (AC/DC) dressed as a schoolboy was funny (a great one, in my opinion!)! But their music was excellent! We’ll see what the Darkness will do from now on! Bye everyone, see you soon!

I must say that I like them. I wanted to tell the person who wrote that they have terrible instruments (I think it was Fallen) to be better informed. The guitarists play Gibson Les Paul Standards, and when they're not using versions from the Custom shop! DAN also often plays a "Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty" (you can see it in a video). Justin's amp is a Mesa Triple Rectifier... there's nothing else to add. Dan’s amps are Marshall SLP… historical models. The bassist plays a Gibson Thunderbird and occasionally a Fender Precision Standard and uses Mesa Boogie for amplification. I don’t know much about drums, so I can't tell you if they are good pieces or not! But the guitars and basses mentioned above are perhaps the best instruments one could want for Hard Rock and even a bit of metal! If you want to say that the songs are terrible, fine! But if you’re talking badly about their instruments, it’s better to do a bit of study first!
Franco Battiato L'Arca di Noè

Franco Battiato remains, in my opinion, one of the few Italian artists interested in producing music with meaningful content. Every time I listen to him, I'm amazed; he’s a mix of originality and poetry. The lyrics are never trivial, even when they might seem so. His songs are challenging, particularly in his earlier albums, rich in sound and vocal experimentation. One only needs to listen to the songs written for Alice or Giuni Russo. The album "La voce del padrone" is certainly legendary, but his countless classical compositions are exceptional as well. Like any artist, he may evoke love or dislike, but objectively, one can say he is a unique and very complex artist.
