A name that has always intrigued me. It's interesting. However, your review is not very explanatory. Tell us something more about the subject... (ps: dwarfs, the link to the site doesn’t work)

Oh my god, I just left a huge comment on the review of 3poundsoflove (Thank You by STP), and now they're publishing this of yours... guys, you’re making me flip the club! Good review. I agree with you. This album "c'est la classe".

I checked: Chris Robinson and Steve Gorman from the Black Crowes (as you rightly say) along with the DeLeo brothers have already formed a superband and recorded a few tracks. The name hasn’t been revealed yet. Who knows if they’ll release anything…. I’m curious. I like the first two albums by the Black Crowes. As for Chinese Democracy, I admit I lacked a bit of sense of humor; I didn’t get the joke :D - In my opinion, grunge means: Apple by Mother Love Bone, Gluey Porch Treatments by Melvins, Bleach by Nirvana, Badmotorfinger by Soundgarden, Uncle Anesthesia by Screaming Trees, the self-titled album by The Temple Of The Dog, Ten by Pearl Jam, Core by STP, Above by Mad Season, and I’d even dare to say Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth... flannel shirts, yes, but also "Ripped jeans. Heroin. Loud guitars. Teenage angst...". In short, ROCK. Your comment made me pull out some of these albums. I'm going to listen to them at full blast now (with my new mega-super-stereo Christmas gift)... thanks 3poundsoflove, you’re inspiring, keep it up ;)

I agree with Cliffburton. Rock, power rock... but wasn't it called grunge in the '90s? It seems that this term has become a curse today. I would reassess it. By the way, it seems that the Leo brothers are in cahoots with the Robinson brothers (former Black Crowes) for a new project. Also, Axl Rose's Chinese Democracy (which features Josh Freese from APC on three tracks) is still not complete. Who knows when it will be released, if it ever will...

Always endured with difficulty. This is the only album of theirs that I appreciated. However, I admit that when I had the record store, I blessed their new releases (like those of Vasco and U2), they sold like hotcakes... Well done, Frantz, for the references of the time... I would also add two names: Garbo and Faust'O...

A tip 3poundsoflove, write them like this: and (not with square brackets). That’s how you help the dwarves… same for and or
... okay?

Hal, how right you are; I was also very surprised. But maybe it’s not fair like this? Zappa despised the music industry, he was always polemical, cynical, and critical of it. He wouldn’t have appreciated “in memoriam” celebrations at all. Perhaps it’s better this way. To further confuse puntiCAZpuntini (who, by the way, has solid ears given his "special" tastes): I also really like We're Only In It For The Money, Just Another Band From L.A., Apostrophe, The Man From Utopia (with the cover by Liberatore, legendary!), BongoFury (with Cpt. Beefheart), and of course Sheik Yerbouti. For those who want to approach the myth on tiptoes, there’s Strictly Commercial/The Best of Frank Zappa, which isn’t bad... For Elio fans: take a look at faveromane.com, a site dedicated to the Elii, and the link www.faveromane.org/rubriche_duccio0 5.html makes it clear how much the Genius has influenced this band...
