I don't know Mùm, or BangGang, or Gus Gus (heard of them briefly) but I've seen 101 Reykjavik and Noi Albinoi... :))

I'll tell you how the concert was (but in Zurich), I wasn't there but my friends were. The opening act, Living Things, were amazing. Young, dynamic, with a killer sound. A name to remember. Then Melissa. Professional, captivating, a true stage animal. The Hole and Smashing school does not disappoint; in fact, the girl really knows how to perform. Precise, professional, totally in sync with her band. And last but not least, a very graceful, shining presence. Melissa was excited because she was in her home country, and tenderly she threw out a few words in Schwitzerdütsch, immediately winning everyone over. Female charisma, but with guts. I don’t know what songs she played; I just know she kept everyone glued there. An intense concert, I was told. After her, Peaches arrived with her freak show. The impact wasn't the same. Fun and irreverent, but the queen of the scene on this occasion remained the lovely Melissa.

Stefano, there are already two reviews of this album, however strangely it doesn't appear in this sheet... Nani? I think it's better to avoid duplicates, triples then... Your review is good, you never fail :)) Now I guess I really have to get this album, I've stayed away from it to not fill Macca's pockets, but it is what it is... it's not like I'm going to change his life by buying it :)

Dear Alberto Ruffino, authenticating yourself doesn't just mean making your nickname and comment more visible. It also gives those reading your comments the opportunity to respond to you privately and/or see what other reviews you've commented on. This is how one begins to "know" a person virtually and gets an idea of their thoughts (on music in this case). For those on de-basera, this is vital; that's the beauty of the game. :))) It gives you the chance to have your own space through which to write private messages to other de-basers, set up appointments for concerts, exchange CDs through de-crossing, and so on. As you can see, it's not an invitation to take off your mask, but simply to form your own identity here on de-baser. Whether or not that is your real identity... that's up to you.

Here, I thought the same, but I didn't dare to express myself since I don't know Conte very well. Moreover, these are names that are highly appreciated in France, and there they don't make comparisons between Conte, Capossela, and other artists of that kind.

Already said, for me the REM is 5 and beyond. As is being demonstrated here on de-bas and among these comments, everyone has their favorite REM. Mine is "Automatic," but I don't listen to it because it hurts me a lot due to the memories it brings up, so I console myself with the others, this one among my favorites. This is the last one with Bill Berry, the drummer whose absence I feel very strongly in "Up." Yes, it's a "travel" album, also because it was conceived and rehearsed in the REM dressing rooms during the "Monster" tour, and it was recorded, again during the tour, in various studios rented on-site...

Well done, Scott, a good record this, not essential, not impactful, but good. However, I wouldn't be so skeptical about Italian music, because the problem isn't the lack of inspiration: in the Nordic countries, it's easier to make music since there’s state financial support that allows it. In Italy, to survive the crushing system of the music business, you have to please the mindless audience, the one that buys your records (otherwise you won’t eat).
