Guys, I haven't read the comments, but the review is great. I mean, I've appreciated Deep Purple since I was young. Ian Gillian is legendary, and Blackmore and Lord are phenomenal. I was little, and I loved them! :) ROCK!

Well done, Ventu! Great proposal :) I really loved New Plastic Ideas from '94. Calling them indie is a bit limiting. It's true, they have a Fugazi&SonicYouth style... Unwound means nervous music, with a sound that was very ahead of its time. In the beginning, they were more noise, and with this, they got softer.

Finally read, and also the comments :D ahahaha... Hal, for a couple of years I worked in an archaeology gallery, that is, of Greek-Roman and Apulian artifacts, etc... Since it was a super peaceful job (I also did some simple restoration), I listened to music, and to stay in the mood, I often listened to cassettes of traditional Greek music. Your review reminds me of that time; it was beautiful, calm, I was at peace with myself. Then came the Italian financial police, and my boss (a really charming rogue) disappeared (by the way, with my last paycheck!). Greece has always fascinated me, a dream trip that I will do sooner or later. I could start with one of the titles you suggest... :)
