Well, before the "thank you MTV" I read "damn MTV" twice, I think these two interjections cancel out the first one... And the ending says it all about what Ste thinks, right? ... Discussion closed... period and move on. Stefano, good review, but there’s a bit of disorder. Give it another look before sending it out. They're small details, little mistakes and oversights, but they disturb the reading. It'll be for next time, okay?... Anyway, it's true: it’s an EP that showcases the "electric" side of the Rems.

I have the second one (or rather I had it!) and I didn't mind it at all, but I think this EP could be even better. Good review, Massimo... :)

A review I was eagerly waiting for. And it's perfect, perfect, Hal has captured the vibes it evokes so well... A record I've listened to "a thousand" times already, and that has been accompanying me during sleepless nights for weeks. Previous Crime (that violin, that violin!!), You Can’t Reach Me Now (beautiful song), and Hold Me as well as Love Doesn’t End Like That (those electric interludes in these two tracks make me die) are masterpieces. The sound is a wonder. But it's an all-around great album. Yes, the musical references are exactly what Hal points out (I would also add Howe Gelb and OP8), but at the same time, this album lives its own life, warmed by its own light. One of my albums of the year, absolutely.

I listened to the new one, "The difference between me and you is that I'm not on fire." I really like it. I'll look for this one now. Great. Luckily, there's still emo, the last honest refuge in the world.
Neil Young On the Beach

:)) one of the most beautiful reviews I've read on de-baser. Premise: I don't know this album well, but Neil Young is Neil Young, I adore him... what I like about the review is that you don't use periods (.), only commas, yet it flows smoothly and is packed with strong imagery. Well done!
