Frantz, you are right, and I take this opportunity to sincerely thank Rocky for sending me a copy of this truly phenomenal CD! A really eclectic character, out of his mind, this Arthur :))

HERE'S STEVE ALBINI! Wow, I could tell he had a hand in this, the sound is AWESOMELY-FANTASTIC! It's definitely among the albums of the year. No doubt about it. I absolutely have to track down Do Dalls! Isn't there a kind soul around? :))

Agreed on Marilino (really nice version) and on Rancid. The rest: it came in one ear and out the other. Nice idea for the review...

A mix between Bukowski and Rocco Siffredi. 20% good writing, 80% filth... but I see a glimmer of improvement.

Ste, this one is very good too! I won't comment on REM anymore, I've said it before: for me, they are the pinnacle of rock-pop, I would even dare to say they are almost the Beatles of the '90s. Plus, I really like Stipe. He's a very intelligent person who has managed to handle his own popularity, managing to stay afloat despite the pressures of show business. A great friend of Cobain: he tried (in vain) to support him during his crises, amidst his discomfort with fame. Many successful rock frontmen have turned to Stipe - as if he were a "priest" - to confide their helplessness (aren't we all just "little" men?) in the face of a ravenous crowd of fans, in front of a success that gives you no rest or breath. Among the last to seek "counsel" from Stipe are Chris Martin and Thom Yorke, the small fragile elf. I like to think this: behind Radiohead, behind the scenes, in moments of despair, there's an exceptional "psychologist"....

No Psycho, in America it's Protestantism that has caused harm, which, unlike Catholicism, "never forgives your sins." From this arises straight edge, stemming from a rigor that is inherent in American morality, a rigor that is typically Protestant. I can tell you this as a Swiss of Latin and Catholic background, finding myself in contrast with Swiss (the majority) of Nordic and Protestant background. The difference lies precisely here. We have the escape route of "forgiveness," so we will go to "heaven" even if we are lazy, sinners, superficial... Protestants, on the other hand, do not have that, and in order to attain heaven, they must be productive, hardworking, and useful to society. It is on this basis that capitalism was born. For Protestants, the rule, which started as a religious one and over time became a "social morality," is: work, produce, and "maybe" you will reach heaven (perhaps, but it is never guaranteed). The straighter you are, the more chances you have.

I actually liked the review, it's sincere and sensitive, it has rhythm and it's written without errors. Of course, when you touch on Cobain, you all become weasels, huh? Fundamentalists! ;P
