I, like Psycho, imagined the riff-heavy parts on first listen being played in a dive bar full of tattoos, sweat, and beer with Harleys parked outside (and this is a matter of taste), while the ballads, though good, make me nostalgic for the way the first album captivated us from start to finish, note by note, riff by riff, chorus by chorus. And it’s automatic, after listening to this, to put on the self-titled one to reaffirm the concept. It seems to me that they’re shifting sides, from freaks to bikers... Not necessarily a bad thing, but not for me.

I recently watched some videos from this album, an impressive fluidity, there are some top-notch fusion jazz parts, stuff that should be memorized in music schools (for example, Danza Caruana, fear, pedal pushed down on Weather Report). Forget about the self-absorbed beboppers roaming around Italy today. Thanks for the review, Core, it was a pleasure to read.
