I listened to the record more carefully. They are good, yes they are really good, even though I like Up on the Bracket more, because it’s more punk. I read an interview with Carl Barat and I was very struck by what he said, in such a simple and honest way; he and Pete love each other, that brotherly love that I envy a lot, a love that shares the same goals and creativity, sweat and breath (this comes to mind because I saw a photo of the two of them at the same microphone), and also hate, because you can’t do without the other, because without the other you are nothing. It’s like a curse. All this is terribly rock’n’roll... his evil disease in this band hit hard, and the producers know it well, those old foxes.
