: D let’s not exaggerate! However, I can say one thing, allow me this: if there's anyone in Switzerland who knows well (sometimes even personally) the Italian underground scene from A to Z, that’s me, no doubt about it! :)

Moravagine, Sun Eat Hours, Peter Punk, Omini Verdi, Succo Marcio... it's because of these bands that I stopped organizing concerts... after years of promoting Italian bands with serious chops (That's All Folks!, OneDimensionalMan, Fluxus, etc.) to audiences that only totaled 50 people making it worth their while, everyone just wanted these bands, just this pop-punk from middle school. At a night with the SunEatHours, I decided that's it! I didn’t want to embarrass myself: it felt like I was a kindergarten teacher, you know! For three years now, only these bands have been roaming around here, and they pack the house. Sigh! The Pornoriviste at the beginning weren't bad, but then they became like the plague, a disease that flattened the Italian scene. The only 'real' band is Erode, but they've only released one album (Tempo che non ritorna, just reissued for Gridalo Forte), which I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone. They and the Porno hated each other to death. What a great group Erode is...

I can play 7 Nation Army on the drums too, you know! Great review, fun album... anyway, the best thing about this album is the recording studio, the legendary Toe Rag Studios in London, the kingdom of 'analog-tube-seventies' sound.

"It's not the current years that suck, it's us being too demanding"... I agree with Caz. "Everyone can make remixes after 15 years," I agree with Caz's brother :)) (but the triple remix of Depeche is a blast!)

A record that I really liked when I listened to it, but then I didn't delve deeper... as always, great review North!

And instead I love this album very much, it disturbs me a lot... if you're interested, go check out my comments in Donz's review, there I explain myself better. Bye :)

I read on their site (where you can find three nice mp3s from the album) that he, Eric, has played with a ton of people: Captain Beefheart, The Residents, Pere Ubu, Pixies :-O!!! And he has produced stuff from dEUS, Sparklehorse, and The Polyphonic Spree... However! A light, floating review, like only you can do, suited to the music you present...

I confess my absolute ignorance - it is during these reviews that I tell myself "wow, how much stuff I still have to listen to!". Can someone lend me a couple of ears? :)
