Wwwhate, it's a pleasure to see you here again :) Yes, it's true, some groups are meant to stay underground, for just a few close ones... :-)

Ege, I would comment on all your reviews, you have no idea how much I appreciate them (both for your writing style and the high quality of the suggestions), but I don't want to be intrusive (I already am, but I wouldn't want to overdo it...)........ Yes, tough proposal, and tough the price you paid for the CD! (Hal, I'll take care of it for you)

Daniel Johnston The Late Great Daniel Johnston: Discovered Covered

I was looking for it but didn't know it... :) Zzzz, you know, you always suggest things I don't know, and you never miss a beat! I'll look for something by Johnston, it's a duty.
Rokia Traoré Bowmboï

Beautiful proposal. Truly an excellent album (which won the BBC Awards Critics' Choice in 2003). In Mali, the national language is French, and the most widely spoken tribal language is Bambara... it's hard to compare Traoré's lyrics with those of Di Franco, but both talk about women and their struggle for emancipation... for example, in the song Kôté Don, Traoré addresses young African women, urging them to shed the burdens of male-dominated tribal traditions: (translation) "I respect our ancestors/ but tradition is not infallible... Let’s use our time better/ let’s celebrate it!"... In the songs Manian and Bowmboï, you can also hear the Kronos Quartet... :)
Virgin Prunes ...If I Die, I Die

Immense record. Here’s Gavin Friday (how much I’ve loved him even with Each Man Kills the Thing He Loves, despite stepping outside the Virgin Prunes’ style), there’s Colin Newman as producer (Wire), there’s theater, there’s exorcism, there’s panic, there’s animality... well done Ege, as usual :)

Robbie Williams I've Been Expecting You
Voto:
Robbie could have been a glam rock star, if he hadn't been a TakeThat first... It's the past that betrays him... anyway, a 'particular' character, typically British, egocentric and 'jerk' just like a Gallagher... I don't like his looks, and he gives me the impression of being the kind of guy who wouldn't hesitate to let out a fart after dinner... he has a deeply hooligan spirit...

The cover of the Amaro Antonetto is legendary anyway! :)

Yes, and it's a shame because you can't send a private email, or see where you made other comments... it's your choice, just like mine to not vote :D Anyway, from my comments you can deduce the vote... what do you think I would give you? ;) Hi, take care.
