I arrive with a terrible delay, but lately there have been so many reviews that I missed this one! It's unforgivable on my part to overlook a review of Psycho, but can you really?!? Psycho, I haven't heard this one, but I believe no revival band can surpass Comets On Fire, truly a love at first sight for me. Now that you're in Italy, I'd like to send you the Black Mountains, I'm curious to know what you think :) hi and happy new year!

Beautiful sequence of frames, ethereal review yet at the same time palpable.
AA.VV. Live Aid - DVD
Voto:
I got really emotional during Live Aid. Like Hal, I spent some great moments those days in front of the television. Wasn't it a great reality show? Knowing that at that moment (the Internet was still a utopia) the whole world was united in a global broadcast, everyone, black and white, young and old, and for such a 'noble' cause (charity) in the hands of representatives of a 'pagan' religion (rock), was thrilling. And how many mistakes, how many off-beats, what awkward moments... so much fun! It’s true that the performances weren't the best. I got this DVD as a Christmas gift for my dear mom; it meant a lot to her. And I understand her! How can you forget Mercury and Radio Ga Ga with the audience clapping along, or Bono diving into the crowd (I think it was his most powerful rock orgasm), or the WHO!!! or the LED ZEP!!! or the Black Sabbath!!!!!!! (the DVD doesn’t have Led Zep, though, and I can’t remember if the Sabs are in there)... I don’t know guys, but I think I’m an incurable nostalgic...

Welcome back Wwwhate! You had to leave your mark before the end of the year, huh? An absolutely fascinating proposal, what a nice gift you’re giving us. And the irony is so subtle. I wonder if anyone will catch it :D

What a shame, because it's a really great review. The opening... literature! Those who love the Residents and Tuxedo Moon can't help but get closer to Chrome; they belong to the same 'family'! But maybe it's better this way, it's best that precious gems like this remain hidden from most, and especially from the less discerning. (considering that the holidays are coming, too) :)

I have always loved LKJ's slam poetry, sharp and straightforward, in that 'universal' slang that is Jamaican English... "People sayin' dis / people sayin' dat/ 'bout di yout' af today/ how dem carryin' on away/ an' it noh funny/ it noh funny/ dem wi'tek chance/ fi get a lickle kile/ dem wi'tek chance/ fi live-it-up a while/ dem wi'tek chance/ fi live-it-up in style ..." (It Noh Funny) A GREAT ONE! --- But my favorite is 'BassCulture'. Nice suggestion, Nicholas :)

Here are the Stranglers, I’ve never listened to them... to start listening to something of theirs, what would you recommend, just this?

I never delved into them, but I really liked their singles. The review definitely piques my curiosity! Hi Enrica, happy holidays :)
