Talking Heads The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads

No Benzo, you can tell me anything but that 'Stop Making Sense' is the lowest point in the career of the TH (it's a live performance, not a studio album)! Listen to Burning Down The House, IT'S SCARY how wild it is! For me, it’s the absolute peak. It’s AFTER this live (it’s from '83) that they became 'commercialized' (I agree with you on this, luckily they split up). I reiterate that it’s an album to be 'seen' rather than just 'listened to.' Plus, the film was directed by Jonathan Demme, not just anyone, huh! Both the album and the film are among the best live recordings of the time, one of the first 'multimedia' 'works' (comparable to 'Home Of The Brave' by Laurie Anderson, another album-film that I highly recommend to everyone). 'The name of this band' is rougher, more authentic, I agree on that, but not better, it’s just different.

Very good Gino, a great French band, out of their minds, iconoclastic, theatrical, a (un)healthy bearer of true pop art! Better live than on record, anyway...

I agree with you. Canada this year is the country that has produced the best musical fruits more than any other. Jagjaguwar (even though it's American but works with Canadians) and Secretly Canadian are, in my opinion, the indie labels of the year (they joined forces three months ago). These "dear" boys are quite interesting, indeed.
