And don't shoot Winston Wolf!!! -- 1995, that year saw the release of: The Usual Suspects, Heat, Twelve Monkeys, Pillow Book, Casino, Clockers, Get Shorty, Four Rooms, Underground, Dead Man, Dead Man Walking, Smoke, Lisbon Story, Kids, 3 Days of Truth, Tokyo Fist, etc... and yet, none of these films is as brilliant and dynamic as Pulp Fiction, despite its blatant, delightful pandering.

They managed to make a film by condensing actors who, alas, I find irritating. La Buy, Accorsi, Ambra... From what I've gathered reading here and there, it should be a sort of Italian version of Kasdan's The Big Chill. What courage.

Well, we all know that Nuti has had problems with alcohol from which he tried to pull himself out, then later he had a bad depression, there was an attempt, and in the autumn of last year, an accident; he fell and suffered a concussion, and to prevent aggravating neurological issues, they had to put him in a medically induced coma for quite a while. In short, this is just to say that talking about "decline" seems misleading to me. Then "narcissist"... which actor isn’t? Nuti isn’t well, so a warm greeting of solidarity to this great comedian, one of the very few (with Benigni) who has managed to make me watch Italian comedy films from beginning to end (Io, Chiara e lo Scuro; Casablanca Casablanca). If this film were to air at some off time, I would record it.
