(ps: just two commercial breaks, not out of kindness from Mediaset, but because the ratings are not high enough to entice sponsors. Putting ads during Beautiful these days feels a bit pathetic... and the sponsors know that these are shows watched in passing, while doing household chores, meaning the eye doesn’t stay glued; sometimes it’s enough to just listen, like a radio drama.)

But I speak badly about it, damn it! This and all other soaps have ruined the mental health of half the female world! I mean, I see my sister, a fanatic of "Beautiful" and all that, who isn't even satisfied—she reads Harlequin before going to sleep! Result: two divorces by the age of 40!! But shouldn’t she just get laid more?? There's no brainwashing as powerful as these damn soaps, which instill in the brain the culture of NOT communicating and NOT sharing feelings, especially negative ones, and sublimating them into revenge, deceit, and betrayal. An opium for female minds. Deadly! A manifesto of insincerity and lies, that's what these soaps are.
