THE REVIEW

Ed and Tom emerge from their basement with this album of "consolidation".

We leave Old school to Fatboy Slim.
We leave Techno to Daft Punk.
Not bad though for Orbital...

Whether they thought that way or not, this is what resonates from the album's sounds. Aside from the poor "It Began In Africa," the album is good.
It contains self-references à la Evan Dando (you can hear the sounds of "Song For Sirens" just about everywhere), old and new things remixed together.

I like "Come With Us," "Star Guitar," and "Galaxy Bounce." In the first one, there's a nice seventies touch inserted towards the end of the track.

Overall, it's pleasant and I haven't felt this sensation since the unbeatable "Exit Planet Dust," which the two astute ones have wisely decided to revisit here and there, mixed with "In-Sides" by Orbital (was that the one with the colorful cover?).

It's not love, but it’s a nice album. Get my drift?

The album is formally beautiful, impeccable, with deep bass entering on hi-hats, but there isn’t a single song that makes me want to dig into the pile of CDs and play it right away.

Respect, but nothing more than that.

It’s impossible to resist these two geniuses, Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons.

What is present in Come with Us is a melting pot of emotions, rhythms, and sounds that get stuck in your head.

A work crafted down to the finest details.

Join them and let yourself be carried away by the music that only they know how to create.
