Micah P. Hinson Micah P. Hinson And The Opera Circuit

I read that Micah wrote this album entirely in bed, constrained by a back problem. The premises would suggest a sparse and solitary album, but instead, it results in a work that is "richer" instrumentally than the previous one. Guitar, piano, and voice as always, but also winds, strings, and a dry drumbeat marking the rhythm of a record that is tormenting in its darkest moments, yet carefree when Micah's friends join in to play around the bed. Splendid in its crepuscularity.
Built To Spill You In Reverse

After the more modest and straightforward Ancient Melodies, this new work shifts once again toward the psychedelic and expansive rock of the early albums. It's a great record, worth listening to and revisiting. You described it very well; your resemblance to Doug Martsch is certainly remarkable!

Great performer, Maurino. I missed a few gems, but it was a fantastic live anyway. Although the real show was seeing Josi hypnotized for an hour and a half. Who dares to take on the Trell? Watch out, his fan club scattered across Italy will unleash!

Preceded in time, but I fully find myself in joser's feelings. All I have left is to do my part with the samples.

"Look, though, I don't know what notes you want to hear played, I can't think what lines you'd like me to sing or say, and I'm not sure what subjects you want mentioned. So pause and add your own intentions." A very beautiful album, where the interpretation of the leader Will Sheff stands out, a sort of Conor Oberst from Texas, who in the past has also collaborated with Daniel Johnston, capable of conveying an unstable grace to his compositions. Here are the samples.

It was my first purchase of theirs, and for this reason, I may be more attached to it compared to And Then... and Summer Sun. Few manage to create such intense, rarefied and melancholic atmospheres.
