I have almost everything by Moby, and I must say that hard rock from back in the day didn't quite suit him (see albums like "Ambient"): in my opinion, his true calling is the techno-dance of records like "I Like to Score", which is just a bit earlier than "Play": "Go" was a decent hit, along with various tracks like "Feeling So Real" and "Everytime You Touch Me"... if he were to rock out again, it wouldn't really align with the image he's developed over the past few years.

I preferred Moby for other reasons. Still better than a lot of other contemporary trash.

You're backpedaling a bit...;oP In the debate between Pink Floyd and Waters, I side with Gilmour, which is why I wanted to say that I'm a "Gilmourian"... aren't you in that sense?

You are too categorical about Roger: you’re not wrong that he was overrated as a musician, but there’s a long way from that to crucifying him...! I’m also a Gilmour fan, and I think Waters has unjustly claimed some credit that he didn’t deserve, but I also believe we can’t deny that Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, and the like begin and end in the hallucinated mind of the bassist, both in terms of content and music.
Franco Battiato L'Arca di Noè

Ezekiel, speech finished, I was anyway responding to Zi0n, only the last remark was directed at you; as for Hal: I don't share Riondino's musings, which often exceed his narcissism... I find that "L'arca" is less immediate than LVDP, but still suitable for the listener (see the musicality of "Voglio vederti danzare" and "L'esodo"); regarding Sylvian and Perez, very respectable opinions, saludos.

In my opinion, reviews generally need to maintain a certain "tone," both because they should match the depth of the subject matter—which, in this case, is certainly not trivial when it comes to Battiato—and because, in my view, the less one speaks clearly about a work, the better, or one’s interpretation risks overshadowing the personal image that the listener has of that record, that piece, that song... So I understand all opinions on the matter while still holding onto mine, and I’ll keep myself updated! Ezekiel, you’re being a bit mean like the wolf... you could have at least given me and/or Battiato a 2 or 3! There are embellishments, but it’s never just smoke.

Kosmogabri, you’re great! Thank you for the cryptic, for me the highest compliment.

What strikes me a bit is the rating given to the review by Ottobrerosso79: it's not that I'm going to start crying, but I don't understand if I've wronged Battiato, keeping in mind that I will try to correct the stars... explain, explain.

There has been a bit of a mess regarding this review (and come on, give me time to respond!)... I don't know if it was understood, actually, I think you got it, but I forgot to mention the stars! I'll try to rectify, anyway the score is 5/5! For the review, I might settle for 4/5! I'm very humble! ;oP Ezekiel, tastes are tastes, what can I say... for example, I find your reviews well written even if a bit too New Age-y like "believe, the music is inside you," and I probably don't share the same music genres as you. Clear terms and a long friendship...
