Dire Straits Love Over Gold

I agree with Sylvian about Private Investigations, which is still one of the most famous tracks from the band today... I've never been particularly intrigued by Dire Straits, although I did appreciate some of Knopfler's solo work (Pretty Darling). Welcome, Torre.

Very clean and linear reception of an album that is now leaning towards softer sounds... The title track is one of the group's most fantastic mind trips, a notable musical diversion. A special mention also for "Who wants"...

Let’s leave Josi and Ajeje in the solitude of a love message. Zion, don’t give ratings a priori to Hal, who goes around giving ratings without reading the reviews carefully… :)

Thank you guys, especially to Zion for the comparison with the pizza maker :)

Yes, I even have the '75 cassette with the original cover! Good note on the "four notes" of Shine On, a real hit of "Piazza delle Cinque Lune"! I give you a three for the review, which is still too short... you know how it is, since there’s already a review on W.Y.W.H., one would expect something that surpasses the previous one, especially since it wasn't that impossible :) "K" because I had never seen it.

Really? I have the CDs and haven't noticed any advertisements :) Anyway, it's very sad if such editions are circulating.

Dear Josi_, I have to say something that saddens me. I review the ros(s)azzurri because I have to acknowledge that, generally speaking, when it comes to musical authorities, Catania - and its surroundings - has always been curiously more flourishing than Palermo: aside from comparing the greats of the past like Bellini - who was from Catania - in the landscape of modern voices we now have Battiato, Consoli, and la Trovato, who, whether you like it or not, are characters of a certain musical refinement... well, we outshine you in cinema because we have Tornatore, Ciprì, and Maresco :) A memory for Giuni Russo, a great voice from Palermo.
Paolo Conte Una faccia in prestito
Voto:
I might be stating the obvious, but I've always preferred Paolo Conte as a songwriter rather than a performer, without diminishing his incredible musical talents as a lawyer... I never delved too deep into his work; however, I do remember a little gem that only a few know about: the nostalgic soundtrack of that small masterpiece "La Freccia Azzurra" by D'Alò... authorial jazz-blues atmospheres. Rating for the author.
