How sensitive you are.

no legend the album had not been reissued, just as the one by the Talking Heads (the live one) had not been reissued. Overrated? I wouldn't say so at all!

Many consider Peggy Suicide to be Cope's masterpiece, but I believe Fried is definitely better; 20 Mothers is also stunning. In any case, I find this one superior, and not just because of the quality of the songs (which is a constant throughout Cope's discography) but for the type of sound he wanted to give to the album, a return to the roots of rock. In these times, I think there was a real need for that, given all the bands playing at being wasted rockstars but essentially making just teen-friendly rock suitable for commercials and MTV. Everyone who listens to that junk should hear this album so they can understand if rock'n'roll is the music that will save their lives! Then there's the social commentary; the fact that it is music with a conscience, which is no small feat. Songs like World War Pigs (a true anthem!) and Stomping Dyonisus are not things you hear every day, and tracks like I'm Living In The Room They Found Saddam In, well, not everyone could write those... maybe only Roky Erickson, but that's another story.

I consider it Marvin's best; I believe that if you don't like this album, you probably don't like his music. The review is very nice.

Great review Ezekiel, ignore the bullshit comments from those who are always ready to criticize in the name of their false morality.

I know In The Afternoon, which is beautiful; if this one is like that, then we can be sure of it. It's a shame that the review doesn’t help to understand.
