I don't listen to alternative music, and I’ll say it right away. I don’t judge it; I was just talking about how you "alternatives" react... I know perfectly well that music isn’t an end in itself, but sometimes you complicate life a bit too much, for God's sake, why do we have to put up all these barriers?!

Ah! We have discovered your "meaningful" music! David Bowie, woha! But why do you want to divide the world into black and white?! (You’re not hunchbacks, are you?!? O.O) Alternative music exists; it can be beautiful or ugly, and it has a different meaning from the more "commercial" stuff that we "mediocre" people listen to... but how can one judge an album based on the author?! This becomes a fight for a non-existent supremacy, forgetting what really matters beyond social and ideological barriers: music, plain and simple. It doesn’t matter who writes it, when it’s successful, or who buys it.
