Mondo Marcio was barely 16 years old when he wrote, rapped, and produced this CD in 2004.
GianMarco Marcello a.k.a. Mondo Marcio, has suffered greatly throughout his life and he tells us with his characteristic hopeful pessimism.

The CD opens with M.A.R.C.I.O. in a cinematic setting, with a chase of GianMarco Marcello through the ruins of a building to escape from federative planes chasing him. When asked if he has any requests, he responds with this song, and finally vanishes into thin air to continue his journey, which takes us straight to the Altro Mondo, where he explains why he does it. To take refuge in his dream world "between coconut and marijuana plants, on the road from Morocco to nirvana" and starts like a legend with his warm voice, melodically warning us that "this is the story of a Marcio, who left for the other world and never returned" etc...
After Brucia Marcio Brucia featuring the one who has always supported him, Bassi, he gives in to nostalgia and hope with Qualcosa è Rimasto, then opens the door to his dark pessimism, featured in previous unpublished tracks, and sings about it in Non So Volare, a great track in pseudo-live including the second and third verses of the original song, still unpublished I believe, which in text is more hopeful. Then he talks about his ghosts, and surprises us when we hear a little girl's voice that introduces us and then disappears, only to reappear in the song Tieni Duro!, a great display of "cynical hope".
But Mondo Marcio is not just despair, dark hope, and pessimism, he also brings lightness, as shown in dentro a un sogno and regina di cuori, the latter dedicated to sex, really nice!
Then returns with Paradiso Perduto to his mind full of gloom and desire for revenge, and at the same time resignation.
Then he introduces us to his philosophy about survival in the world with Il Primo, talks about war ironically in Arte Della Guerra (black irony, of course) and warns us that "io Non Sento Niente" with the homonymous track, take away the "io" for the title...
talks about his Giorni Matti (pt.2) with Ape and Zampa and then here it is... the gem, he dedicates the entire CD to a personal loss, heavy and probably very close (likely a brother, I believe) with the truly wonderful song 01-08-1997... to conclude this blend of pessimism, grief, play, and tragic irony with Guarda In Alto, a pure message of hope for all the Marcios.

Mondo Marcio now, about a year after the release of the eponymous CD, has already come out with "Difesa Personale" (really nice, especially listen to Passo dopo Passo, number 7!!!) and Fuori Di Qua, where he produces other rappers among other things (including Jack The Smocker, Bassi Maestro, and Fabri Fibra, with the beautiful Abbi Fede, an extension of the first verse of the song Mi Stai Sul Cazzo from Turbe Giovanili). Moreover, he self-produces and is highly respected in the Italian hip-hop scene... and I believe he is still not of legal age!!! he is more or less a year older than me. Mondo Marcio is the young revelation of Italian hip-hop and has not gotten full of himself yet.
4 (meaning 4+) only due to themes perhaps a bit repetitive, but all in all, listen to this 16-17-year-old, and tell me if hip-hop is worth anything...

"...Because in the end there will be no more Mondo Marcio, Wars or nonsense, in the end there will only be music, and the best of it man! Save me a spot, peace."

Mondo Marcio has been in the hip hop world for years (around 4), he makes his own beats, lyrics are a bit superficial... but I don’t judge him for this.

Mondo Marcio is not the hip hop as I mean it and some other guys... if you’re going to talk about hip hop, don’t bring up mondo as an example... listen to some freestyle... then talk to me...

To all those who think and have said that Mondo Marcio is a poet I say only one thing: shame.

Rap is pathetic, it isn’t music, it’s just words put into rhyme without musical instruments, anyone can do it.
