Captain, do you have a weakness for singer-songwriters or am I mistaken? I only know her by name. Flawless reception as always. P.S. Billy Bragg is known around here by three cats.
Leona Lewis Bleeding Love

I stumbled upon her this afternoon, by chance, on All Music. I didn't even know who she was, but the name piqued my curiosity. So: the musical aspect is deplorable, to say the least. The video does everything to showcase Leona's attractiveness (a name, a program). A mixed-race passerine borrowed by music, in the style of Rihanna, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and the like, who I believe dedicates no more time to music in her life than what it takes her to poop. After listening to the single, it wouldn't even cross my mind to dedicate myself to the entire album. The review isn't even poorly written, but your final statements leave me quite baffled. Moreover, you've managed to listen to the whole album. Thumbs down.
David Sylvian Everything And Nothing

My favorite is Brilliant Trees, maybe because it's the first one I listened to and it's also the first solo work. Many prefer Secrets Of The Beehive and others Gone To Earth (right, MAH!). But keeping your tastes in mind, I'd say let's overlook that. Here we are at the antipodes of punk and the early new wave. But you could always convert!

@OleEinar, you are right. It’s obvious that I am biased and not impartial. It can happen. As for spending a few more words on the music, I don’t think that in thirty years of career and about fifteen albums (some under pseudonyms, like Nine Horse), the charming David needs it. So it wasn’t my intention to spread awareness of the artist. Those who know him know what I’m talking about, and those who don’t can dig deeper (if they want! but do they want to?) as they see fit. Sixteen reviews (some beautiful) here present haven’t been enough to make him visible, and my seventeenth won’t change that. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

As promised, Becoming X has also arrived. You’ve put the three works of Pimps on basically the same level. This, perhaps, deserves something more. Almost no one knows them here. Spectacular review. Happy Xmas.

Some pages, reviews, and comments should be public domain, as they are so hilarious. Forget about Benigni, Grillo, Celentano, etc. (who, unfortunately, are watched by millions). Let’s consider ourselves an elite of a few lucky ones.

I fully share the above comment, especially in light of the countless and pointless contemporary releases. Our Earthly Pleasures, however, I still find fresh and very, very enjoyable. That's not a small thing these days.

Objectively, the album is listenable. However, in 2002 (the year of this album), a lot had already happened in the world of trip-hop. With clone after clone and epigone after epigone. In my opinion, this album adds nothing and takes nothing away.

It's not that I share much about 99.9 F°, as I consider Suzanne to be an artist in continuous decline. In other words, I find each of her albums to be slightly worse than the previous one. I stopped at 99.9 F°, and that says a lot about my appreciation for it. I will go listen to it again.
