And there are different types of New Wave, we have the New Wave of British Metal, the New Wave of Punk, and the New Wave of what I call -depressive strain- David Bowie, Velvet Underground, and later The Cure and various idiots..
And regarding these 3 waves, I say that: Iron Maiden, a great band, but they've made 25,000,000 songs that are all the same; Punk... well, let’s forget about punk, the records of the Sex Pistols and all their friends are just good for burning in my fireplace. Finally, the depressives just depress me and that’s it... and I gladly leave them to others who can understand them. Undoubtedly, all these gentlemen have laid the foundations of the current musical landscape, for better or worse... but I don’t like them and I don’t know what to do about it.
