I'm sorry to admit it guys but Billy has really fucked his brain!!! What the hell happened to him??? A little while ago he was shouting "DESPITE ALL MY RAGE I'M STILL JUST A RAT IN A CAGE" and now??? The personification of depression until yesterday has now turned into an idiot wandering the streets playing guitar and smiling at everyone!!! The ultimate symbol of alternative rock, my favorite artist.... LET'S FORGET ABOUT THIS CD!!!! BILLY THERE'S NOTHING TO LAUGH ABOUT.

Hi Rivo.... I really like your review, but I don't quite agree with what you say! Optimist Lp, in my opinion, is a much more original and profound album! I too bought Ether Song blindly thinking it would be similar to the previous one, at least in some ways.... but to be honest, it left me a bit disappointed! The songs sound a bit more commercial to me (Painkiller is a tired and overused ballad) compared to the others! I still can't figure out what the hell Panic Attack is.... it's just awful! The other tracks, on the other hand, are nice but, in my opinion, inferior to those of Optimist Lp.

I'm sorry you feel that way; I think it's an out-of-this-world album! If when you talk about Turin Brakes you associate them with REM, you haven't understood much about music at all! I suggest you listen to it properly and take a look at the lyrics!
