this is what I miss. I have only seen blue velvet (and the crazy lost highway and mulholland drive (one of the most beautiful films I have ever seen... no hay banda. silencio). odradek, given your knowledge of cinema, I vote yes on you continuing to comment on the reviews. cinema is truly a difficult art if you don't have the means to interpret it, so certain comments are helpful.

As everyone says, they are a temporary phenomenon, but it’s a fairly well-known phenomenon! As Antimo says, they are nerds passionate about noises and movies, and they throw in phrases here and there, many in Italian. I really like "Tokyo."

look, the books are famous, and they are not nearly as alternative as you make them out to be. It's simple folktronica, a bit more off-kilter than the various four tet, mùm and the like, but accessible to everyone (except for the dullards). The only thing that is challenging is their truly extreme cut'n'paste style. A mix of country, LSD, and irony.

the jazz drum drives me crazy. "sleep, eat food..." is the best, with its jumps. I start with little roses and psychedelic spirals... and then it's all about the nitro.
