The Clash Give 'em Enough Rope

Personally, I prefer this to Sandinista, and as for London Calling, well that's a whole different story... and anyway, in "Give 'em..." we find some anthems of 70s punk... Last Gang in Town, All the Young Punks, and Tommy Gun, how can you get them out of your mind and heart??? I don't know who remembers, but when this album came out (78 or thereabouts) we were worried that after "the Clash" we would face a huge disappointment and instead... how can anyone say they weren't punk anymore??!?!? Damn, read the lyrics again... in All the Young Punks we find all the punk nihilism that only those who lived it can recognize... back then they told us people were dying only from heroin, the working class, and television, and that it was all crap... here we find the words of "White Riot," whites and blacks united against power... concepts that are then brilliantly revisited in "London Calling"... but without being so contaminated by black music yet... English Civil War could have been written this morning, it’s so relevant... bow down to the king of the outcasts... Joe lives on... he died on December 23, was mourned on the 24th, and resurrected on the 25th!

Dear Antonio, on one hand, I understand your desire to "protect" this space dedicated to a group that you probably love very much (and that I have loved in the past and still appreciate), I have the utmost respect for this because God knows how important the groups we love are... but in my opinion, music also serves as a bridge to numerous other situations: politics, love, suffering, pleasure, drugs, information, casual fun and issues, in short, for me, it's great when music becomes the input to reach something else... obviously, in this case, mine was just a joking remark to support your request and nothing more, and I find it beautiful to review a PLURICENSITIZED album because it is INTERESTING to see how such albums, even after years, are rediscovered, offering new ways to interpret them... indeed, much better than those who always and only seek new things, a typical consumerist attitude applied to music...

I mean: air to hell and both of you can go fuck yourselves, you wanted to tell him, right? Great, Antonio...

Even though it's worth mentioning that porcupines, in terms of style, have nothing to do with the BPs, they consider the latter much more complete from an exploratory standpoint...
x gabbox: .... in my opinion, the BPs are Sutton! Despite always surrounding himself with high-quality musicians.
