Well, my first review was terrible too, so don't get discouraged if you receive criticism after criticism... including from me :) There are a few spelling mistakes here and there, but all in all, I somewhat agree with you: the album is totally in the Beatles style, meaning maximum catchiness, with songs and melodies that are mostly simple, even if the fab four are influenced by the vibe of the time and try to venture into more avant-garde episodes, which, however, clash decisively with the atmosphere of the album. It's not garbage, but I consider it highly overrated.

I don't know the album (but I love Eyes Without a Face)... however, the review, besides being a bit too vague, is contradictory in its rating: yes, you talk about opportunism, but also about "little masterpiece," "musical gem," "perfect album"... and you give it 3/5? 3/5 is not a particularly good rating...

Seminal until death, along with the first. Moon In June and Third were already an advanced phase, but this album was from 1968, let’s not forget that. A review that is a bit too "synthetic," this album definitely deserves a few more words.
