The best instrumental prog album? My favorite is definitely The Snow Goose by Camel... this one I will have to listen to.

The problem with this album (if we can call it a problem) is that it shifts too quickly and easily from unrestrained hard rock to slow melodies, too much, and in too many tracks. Graveyard Epistle is the perfect example that illustrates this concept. However, it's an excellent album despite everything.
Slayer Reign In Blood

In terms of monotony, only the first Green Day album surpasses it, as far as anyone can remember... except this one is at least bad, really bad, especially for its time.

The Muse have a bit of Prog in Origin Of Symmetry, but then they started to exaggerate and became less genuine and more "pompous." This album, unlike the monstrous previous work, I've never been able to digest, but even here there are some peaks.
Pink Floyd The Best Of Pink Floyd: A Foot In The Door

Collections, in general, are often quite misleading. As for Pink Floyd (of which I prefer the early phase and a bit of Wish You Were Here), it's a bit like shooting fish in a barrel: you can't make a collection with Echoes and Atom Heart Mother on the same disc, as you'd be leaving out at least another 8 songs, and you wouldn't even include A Saucerful Of Secrets, since it's completely instrumental and quite lengthy. You put in the simpler, more famous songs... a serious mistake for a band that has given us so much more.

A few more commas and a few fewer sentences wouldn't have hurt: there are great insights, but at times it feels a bit verbose. I'm not rating the album; knowing many of Jackson's songs doesn't mean knowing the album, so I'm not judging, but the reviews could certainly improve ;)
Katy Perry Teenage Dream

The issue with the voice is evident live: either every time I've heard her she's had throat problems (unlikely), or she gets emotional on stage and can't give her best (less likely), or they simply tweak her voice on the computer (likely), since she really can't reach the vocal tone in studio recordings. I would see her more as an actress, due to her "popputezza" and a minimum of stage presence that fits... but frankly, I find her songs quite "improvised," lacking any real effort... but hey, all you need to do is show off your cleavage, have a decent voice, and a pair of big doe eyes, and you're making money! For these things, there are other venues to enjoy, certainly not music :D
Blue Öyster Cult Imaginos

One vote less for the despicable version of Astronomy, truly unbearable compared to the original... for the rest, it's really an excellent album, full of life and very intricate, even though on a sonic level it seems simple.

Uncharitable rating. The album is not their best work, but it has plenty of catchy and tasteful tracks. The ones that will follow, excluding "Fire Of Origin Unknown," are much worse.

At least here there are no traces of New Jack Swing.
