Well, I should start by saying that New Wave isn't exactly my favorite genre. I listened to this album intrigued by the various "hosannas in the highest" from critics (Scaruffi foremost)... after listening to it a couple of times, I have to admit it didn't really grab me, but I must acknowledge that, when analyzed in its context, it is an excellent work, both in terms of themes and rhythm. It's an UNMISTAKABLE album, even though the vocal part (teetering between lament and hysteria) makes me cringe a bit. Unfortunately, despite listening to prog and classical music, I still have "classical" preferences when it comes to singing, and a performance like this honestly doesn't particularly please me... at least it didn't leave me questioning its quality, which is great but, in my opinion, overrated—unlike Trout Mask Replica, which, I admit might be partly due to my musical ignorance, disappointed me a lot.
It's a unique, unmistakable album, but I preferred Dub Housing (yes, I've listened to that one too); I found it much more harmonious and innovative than the previous one.

Oh well, I consider the self-titled album (Deep Purple) slightly superior to this one in a "global" sense, in that the truly valuable songs are in greater number compared to "The Book of Taliesyn", an album with good experiments, genuine masterpieces (Anthem is my favorite Deep Purple song), but too many lapses in quality, and too, too many covers.
It's an album with great potential, shown only in certain songs.

But indeed, I admit, after all these years, that I wrote a review just for the sake of writing it, and actually, rereading it (and knowing the album better), instead of feeling ashamed, it just makes me feel fondness and happiness, because it means that looking at how I review now, and how I used to review before, shows that I've matured in this regard, so I can only be glad about it :D

I don't quite agree with your review... Deep Purple is the best album of MKI, and its only Achilles' heel is the sound quality: really poor. For the rest, it’s a classic album of excellent craftsmanship, where glimpses of future productions can be seen.

A somewhat too lengthy review, where I find myself in stark disagreement on many points. First of all, I believe Body Language and Cool Cat are the lowest points in the discography of the queen... I mean, they don't even sound like Queen songs... they are disjointed little tunes, where Queen attempts to experiment with catchy funky tracks, significantly distancing themselves from their otherwise multifaceted style. Good, in both cases, is the underrated Deacon, but the rest of the album, apart from 2 or 3 songs, is a stab in the stomach... even though I've heard worse.

Radiohead Ok Computer

"A FANTASTIC horror gallery," "screaming like a Brazilian hooker in heat," those guys from Darkness sound as innovative as Hendrix did in his time." That idiot playing guitar with a hairdo like Cameron Diaz in "There’s Something About Mary," "self-satisfied and wankerish acme of the 5 Oxfordians"...
Maybe it's because I quite like "OK Computer," even if I don't consider it an absolute masterpiece... but I can only give you 5!!! You had me rolling on the floor laughing XD
Don’t take this review seriously, you might just end up making a fool of yourselves :D

From the review, I get a feeling of Deja-Vu...
The Residents? Or are these "half Japanese" something else entirely?

Nice album, but it doesn't even come close to the pinky of Focus.

Good review, less the movie, which wants to make you think it’s exploring the psychologically vulnerable aspects of the characters... in reality, it does nothing but throw together a hodgepodge of monsters like Jurassic Park, a bit of blood, some criticism of Christianity, but in some cases, certain mechanisms seem a bit unrealistic to me. Not to mention the ending, which, by the way, I was expecting.
