So guys, one thing is to be similar to Tears For Fears, and another is to mimic them.

I never said that Wham! is like Tears For Fears, a band of a different caliber, but they did mimic them, in the sense that they took, and did so poorly, the rhythms of TFF.

I never said that Duran Duran and Tears For Fears are like Wham!, mind you...

MJ64, the fact is that I criticized this album mainly because it’s practically a downgrade from the previous one, and although the melodies are catchy, they lack substance. Yet Jeff has shown, both with Shangri-la itself and with his earlier works (Eldorado in particular, which I might write a review about soon), that he has plenty of ideas.

Consider that for me "mediocrity" as a rating is a struggling 3... instead, the final song raises the score; otherwise, it would have been a struggling 3 precisely because it's still a catchy album.

The best album by Muse. The review doesn't impress me much; if you intended to do a Track by Track review, you should have focused on all the tracks, while you only spent a few lines on songs like Bliss and Plug in Baby, among the most popular of Bellamy & co. The album, well, is one of my favorites, even though in the long run, I found it to be decidedly too melodramatic. Citizen Erased and Megalomania deserve particular praise, true tributes to prog. There you go, maybe they borrowed too much from various bands, but they managed to create their own sound, despite everything. They could have spared us the following albums; I don't like them at all.

Those who know him can't help but come up with catchphrases like "nun tinimm o custum, co facimm ca mutann'", "prendi una donna, trattala male, mannl ogni tant o spidal", "i port o trerraut", "parcheggiamo là, che chill è o post buon p chia...mma, st'ammor"... It's perfect for a good laugh, an icon of the absurd genre, a staple in the culture of every Neapolitan, and could be a delightful surprise for everyone else :D

In Naples, he's almost an idol; they even made a TV show with his songs... what can I say? Being funny without being forcedly vulgar is something to commend. I've always admired him.

Looking back at my old reviews on DeBaser (I don't know if this makes me a nostalgic person or a masochist, given the nonsense I used to write both in comments and in reviews), I remembered this discussion about this album... what can I say? I really fell for it, I didn't focus on the bands he was talking about; I was just irritated by the fact that he insulted me to provoke a reaction, a sign of great immaturity. Well, let’s lower the standards a bit, it never hurts :D

I believe this is one of the few reviews whose qualities everyone agrees on... unless you're a provocateur, it's worth citing the final phrase of the review and modifying it in the right way: An awful review, to be avoided and never read!! Thank goodness people listen to the albums first... But then you don’t even explain why it’s bad; it’s the worst album by Jethro (which is completely false, the worst albums by Tull are quite different!), if it had been a reasoned and explanatory review I might have justified you, but dismissing an album in 2 lines without explaining a damn thing gives you the title of the worst review on De Baser :D

I intended to do it myself, but you beat me to it, so I guess I won’t do another one—it would be pointless :D You could have said a bit more about the other songs, which aren’t too bad, even though they’ve been stretched to infinity with some awful copy&paste work that, fortunately, they won’t repeat.
