Review with which I completely disagree... it's an album that you put on and don’t take off the player for quite a while... It’s a mature, exceptional album... you can't say it's the best because the subjectivity related to Akerfeldt and co.'s music matters more than in many other bands... anyway, it’s my favorite album... Morningrise is naïve, overflowing everywhere... but it’s a masterpiece... this is a perfect record...

Look, my favorite Metallica song is the violent "Damage Inc.," but I'm an atypical metalhead... I also appreciate 70s prog rock... and in my opinion, "Nothing Else Matters" is an amazing rock ballad... it has nothing to do with metal and the real Metallica (the ones from "Kill 'Em All")... I think if they wanted to do something hard rock (like "Load" and "Reload"), they shouldn't have released it under the Metallica name... let's not even talk about being commercial... if the music softens but is still of excellent quality, the whole commercial discussion... a really dumb example... if Slayer make a ballad album, and it's a good ballad album, I don't dismiss it just because it's made by Slayer...

What he said about Load... I just read the blasphemy now... I just finished listening to the whole live in Mexico City binge and purge... when shit like Load and Reload hadn't even come out yet...

It's the most beautiful album by Opeth... and coming from someone who loves Opeth (they're my favorite band along with the classics Metallica)... it's the most technical, the most balanced, the most varied, the best sung, the most original... clearly superior to Blackwater Park and Deliverance and even more captivating than Orchid and Morningrise... It's exceptional... one of the 10 albums a metalhead must own... along with the first 4 by 'tallica (one of your choice), Reign In Blood by Slayer, Cowboys From Hell by Pantera, D.E.I. by Meshuggah, the self-titled album by Maiden, Op. Mindcrime by Queensryche, Rust In Peace by Megadeth, Human by Death, I And W by Dream Theater....

It's a magnificent album... the masterpieces are Wherever I May Roam and Unforgiven... the other really beautiful songs are Nothing Else Matters, Struggle Within (a return to the old days), My Friend Of Misery... then the rest is still worthy of a great rock album.

I can't digest the first Slipknot album (I only appreciate Spit It Out and Wait And Bleed), Iowa has some good ideas but doesn't stray much from the first... Subliminal Verses is a masterpiece... let’s not call it commercializing; rather, they proved they have certain skills (making songs like Before I Forget alongside the beautiful Circle and Vermilion Part. 2).
