Technical and self-indulgent review, almost as indigestible as Spiral Architect... but detailed and passionate... a 5 to raise the 2 that was unintentionally given before... instead of talking about 7/8... let's talk about emotions... don't touch my Tool... because they are among the few bands that manage to combine genius with a strong commercial component... Romeo owes a lot to Malmsteen (whom I can't stand) so it’s better not to go overboard with the criticisms... while I agree with the judgment on the last Petrucci... post Scenes From A Memory... however, the things he has done with Rudess are very beautiful...

Musical immaturity Larrok? I don't think so... an album like A Place In The Queue by The Tangent moves me... an album like A Sun That Never Sets by Neurosis gives me moments of ecstasy... Slint, as innovative as they are with Spiderland, didn't say anything to me... and Metal definitely hasn't said everything yet... there are bands that are still releasing stunning and innovative albums... Aghora are phenomenal and possess a monstrous charm... Symphony X are indeed good, not genius, but always better than annoying bands like Tortoise... Post-Rock has some peaks of agreement, but I consider it a substitute for Progressive... "Lift your skinny...." is exasperating boredom... do we want to compare it with a Funeral Doom album like Solinari by Morgion? Two different genres, agreed, but both make obsessiveness their central pivot... Larrok, it’s not a matter of musical immaturity... if post-rock makes me lose interest, that’s a purely subjective issue... anyone who doesn’t see high-level music in an Island by King Crimson lacks musical maturity... but Godspeed and Tortoise shouldn’t be elevated to that level... Opeth beat Tortoise 7-0... personal judgment... it's not that Post-Rock is the sum of rock music... musically immature? Of course... We are all musically immature... no one knows a certain and absolute truth... in the 10 minutes of Divus Pennae Ex Tragoedia, I find sensations that the 22 minutes of Storm fail to convey to me...

The funny thing is that the people who criticize good Symphony X then exalt that Post-Rock that feels like a kick in the balls...and again...go to Onda Rock and enjoy the reviews that are published...written in a kind of Italian that pretends to be cultured but says absolutely nothing of value...the albums reviewed are practically only by niche bands glorified to absurd levels (praise for bands like White Stripes and Editors? Subjective Judgment: what a mess)...then they review top-notch electronic music and zero metal...OndaRock? Bah...the new Symphony X album is lively, same recipe as the previous albums...by now originality has gone to hell, but it's a winning recipe as always with a different distribution of the ingredients...songs with an insane drive: aggressive and technical guitars, a gritty and seductive voice, keyboards that are not invasive at all...honestly, I'm tired...awaiting criticism...since my post is all over the place...I’m still a wreck from yesterday...

Get off your pedestal, sorry but what do you want? Do you know me? We're not talking about Nevermore... I consider Hammett a fantastic guitarist... then I apologize... I didn't explain myself well... you're right about the solos... more than anything, it's the time it takes to play them down decently... but for the riffs, you just need to be a bit coordinated and know how to use the pick decently... nothing overly technical... I can tell you that maybe on acoustic parts and arpeggios I might have a bit more difficulty... since I'm trained directly on electric guitar... then of course I’m 20 years old and I’m not Hammett, but at 18 a certain Alexi Laiho was doing things I still can't do... I’m happy to stay on my pedestal... I'm not a phenomenon, but at least I know how to do something... it’s not like every single thing that historical musicians do shouldn't be achievable by any jerk like me... rather, playing Cacophony or the Rust In Peace Megadeth is complicated... Metallica were my favorite band and I have sincere respect for them, but I didn't say Cynic, Spiral Architect, or Spastic Ink... I said Metallica; the first thing a metalhead tries to play... thinking before criticizing wouldn’t hurt, and I’m saying this to myself too...

The album doesn't need comments...Hammett technical? I've been playing for two years without much effort and if I wanted to, I could play almost all Metallica songs...great composers, but not technical...however, I dare to say a blasphemy, but even the Floyd weren't technically monsters or at least their songs didn't make technique their strong point...Call Of Ktulu is stunning...
