So, after a colossal delay, I finally get to this album.
I still believe that the review is really well done and conveys the idea of what kind of music we are talking about and what Belle and Sebastian are currently like...a torture for my ears!!! I absolutely do not like it.

the cd is not worth 20 euros. but I liked it a lot at the time. Blues, rock, raw and stripped-down garage. Elephant is a step back from the aggressiveness of this.

Mmmm, so aside from the fact that my samples keep getting interrupted, the stuff they’re doing looks nice, nothing groundbreaking mind you (just like you described them). Unfortunately, I don’t have much money (or rather, I do, but I’m waiting for 3 records that are going to make my mouth water in the next few days), so no purchases even though I’d be tempted.

I take this opportunity to remind the lovely little ones to also include my (actually Charles's) samples and to change that damn photo on my personal profile to the much chicer one I sent them 7 days ago!!! love and peace (or was it the other way around??)

I'm arriving very late this time on this group; I haven't even read the discussion and the endless comments above. A very well-done review, but, however, too hasty (even if it gets the idea across). I'm listening to the CD for the first time today, 18/1/04, and it sounds like Muse doing Led Zeppelin, which in turn... well, you get the idea... a really great CD.

Great psycho, you're from Ancona... I was there this summer at my aunt's house. I went to a pub that’s right on Monte Conero... it's fantastic (near a military area...). There’s a little record shop where I bought the Sigur Ros album and two by Jesus and Mary Chain (they also sell bootlegs!!). Now I don’t remember the name very well, but inside there was a guy playing electric guitar in front of some tabs on the computer...
