I know I'm a real pain..., but could you fix a typo? Well, I'll give it a shot, hoping it goes well like it has in the past. On the twenty-ninth line, there’s an "è" instead of the conjunction. That's it.
Al, I’m glad you liked it.
Doves Some Cities

I missed this one; I wanted to write about it myself and while checking... I really like the rich and flavorful pop of the Doves, and this album seems to be on par with the other two, although it might just be missing a standout track like "There Goes The Fear." I would give it a 4.5.

Well, I’m not the most suitable person to champion the cause of Heavy Metal, but surely the genre you mention has some merits (someone help me say which!!). Even the so-called Dark, and its branches, taking a turn to another genre, takes its first steps in those years.

Finally, I listened to it. One could say: cLOUDDEAD, or the art of dislocation and disorientation. A true summa of postmodernism.

I know, it's always difficult to determine to what extent aesthetic judgment is influenced by emotional factors. But for the songs and the bands you mention, the combination of heart and reason, at least for me, is perfect.

Of course, it's about time to rediscover them, even if many current artists, Paul Weller for example, have never hidden that Ray Davis has been one of their main sources of inspiration.
Antonello Venditti Sotto il Segno dei Pesci
Voto:
He has become a pathetic figure and has been, in my view, in an irreversible crisis of inspiration for over a decade, but this album isn't bad, and besides, it's one of the first vinyl records I bought. :-)
David Sylvian Brilliant Trees

I wouldn't want to quote myself, but as I mentioned in the review of "Secrets...", all three of Sylvian's albums from the '80s, including "Gone To Earth," deserve to represent the best of the decade in a hypothetical best-of. A review that is certainly shareable, even though I would have liked to write something about this album. How much I had to struggle to find the Dolphin Brothers and Karn's solo albums! ;-)
