I stopped at "Rio," an album that has been reassessed by those who, certainly not me, had hastily deemed it rubbish back in the day. I share your thesis on the importance of the playful aspect of music listening and also the critique of the seriousness and excessive pomposity with which everything labeled as pop is sometimes judged. In fact, I wouldn't speak so much of "skeletons in the closet," but of albums that have nonetheless contributed to our musical formation. Of course, tastes and judgments change, but I would tend to highlight the continuity with that era and not just the current pretentious superiority of "mature listeners."
Prefab Sprout Jordan: The Comeback

Not being a "serial" reviewer (two on Prefab Sprout are already an exception), I'm really happy that there’s someone else passionate about Paddy McAloon’s group. Alcol2-Blackcrow, the Steely Dan / Prefab Sprout pairing brings us together. The review is flawless. What do you think of my take on "Steve"?
Claude Debussy Preludi per pianoforte - Libro 1
Voto:
Both superb, Debussy and Benedetti Michelangeli. Grass "just" good.
Nine Horses Snow Borne Sorrow

Having read it carefully and with Sylviam being one of my favorites, I was getting ready to look for it and possibly review it. But the pace of some of you is unbearable for me. :-) I will definitely buy it.

The motivation that drives you to raise my grade hurts more than the previous 4... what does it mean, "just for having reviewed this album"? It sounds like an inexorable sentence for the content of the review. :-))

Sure, it's Mould. I didn't notice the typographical error to the extent that when trellheim pointed it out, I looked for it in some comments. A kind-hearted editor may correct it, if possible.

I "ate" a vowel: it should read "unfortunately."

You won't believe it, but I crossed paths with her in London in Notting Hill in 1993, when in Italy we were few to know her; a truly magnetic figure, even though she’s not a “regular” beauty. Needless to say, my friends and I didn’t have the courage to approach her, especially since she was accompanied by a "wardrobe."
Suzanne Vega Solitude Standing

I fell in love with her at the release of "Marlene On The Wall," and after the teenage crush faded, I still have at least three above-average albums of hers, along with the memory of that sweetest gaze. I agree with Sylvian: the first one is definitely the best.
Pasquale Catalano Le conseguenze dell'amore OST

What a coincidence! I just watched the movie in divX yesterday and was wondering about some of the tracks I heard. I believe Servillo's performance is superior to the beautiful film itself.
