I only know Failure.
A friend of mine had given it to me in a little box along with some other electronic stuff from the late nineties.
Then I bought the single somewhere in London.
I would describe it as... runway-worthy, it’s very stylish and captivating.
I’d say the album cover is cool too, it really should be listened to in full...
Well, I was the first.
Bye!

So did they perform after the grand finale with Folkabbestia & co?
I, on the other hand, participated with LaTriade, a project I've been working on for a year and a half.
We played on Sunday at 11:00 in the morning.
The audience was sparse.
Everyone was at home recovering from the excesses of the day before...

I almost forgot the rating for the album.

I finally listened to it all. Aside from Daft Punk, I liked two other tracks: Triulation and Disco Infiltrator. Maybe the best track is Give It Up, which is on the Bonus CD. I really expected more; there are few tracks, and in fact, they included the bonus tracks. Politically correct pricing, like if you don’t buy it, you’re out! Noise; other magazines and pseudo-alternative radios say this is the new electronic music, but to me, it feels like the latest example of rehashing the usual funk patterns, well-packaged of course. I don’t know, the listening experience of the entire CD left me puzzled.

In fact, monitoring is everything with headphones...
It's not exactly the best.
I only justify them because it's a No Profit situation.
Did you come to the Controfestival this year?

Rockafella Skank....good times!
It reminds me of the Farm, a club in my area that got swept up by the Big Beat wave.
FatBoy bounced from one dance floor to another, Rockafella was played an average of 6 times a night!
Now that place is an olive oil factory!
I haven't listened to the record but I imagined it would be flat, I'll opt for dinner.
Cute sentimental metaphor, good Rec!

Speaking of concerts, at the Controfestival 2003 at the Kismet Theatre in Bari, VegetableG played with just Giorgio (piano and vocals) and the guitarist (I agree with you, he's great!), all in acoustic version. It was really late, around 3 AM, and there were only a few of us at the theater, but it was truly a magical performance. Were you there? Ivan Iusco wasn't there. ;)

Alright, here's how I see it.
The band should do more concerts.
Giorgio has the musicians and they seem to get along well.
When they played in Bari, I went to see them, I liked them and so did many of my friends.
I believe that live shows are a powerful means of promotion for bands or musical projects today.
But this requires time, organization, and the will to do it.
The internet is also a powerful and cost-effective promotional tool, but I don't think VegetebleG has a website.
Probably Giorgio is very busy and that leads him to make certain choices.
It doesn't seem to me that MH promotes its artists worse than other indies in Italy.
What do you consider to be the senseless releases?
Cheers.

Hi Molko, I'm not from Monopoli but from Bari.
However, I know Giorgio from Vegetable well, as well as the staff from MH.
I really like the project too, but promoting the records isn't easy.
The fact that Giorgio, who has many contacts around Italy and even founded his own label, stays with MH means he's okay with it.
I can assure you that the folks at Minus Habens are working hard to promote their releases, which are not few...
Cheers!
