Sigur Rós Takk

finally I agree with you. Sigur Rós intrigued me at first too, beautifully agatis beautiful () but now let’s say it quietly because otherwise the indie fan gets angry, now I was saying they've also kind of broken my balls a little. the singer's voice makes my skin crawl.

But I say: it's an unfindable record, a little-known band that only those who lived in the eighties remember. They made a big hit, "the first picture of you," which has always stuck in my mind. I'm curious to hear the whole album, but so far I haven't found it. Well, is the review all there is? If you're digging for hidden treasures, shouldn't you put in a little more effort?

Well done. Short but beautiful review that finally does justice to one of the most underrated bands ever. Absolutely right: Slowdive were very original in their approach to shoegaze.

Aren't we exaggerating with all these reviews of Litfiba? Among other things, this is a music review site, and at most Pelù can aspire to cabaret. Well, the first albums weren't bad, but for decades they've become caricatures. I haven't listened to this album; that would be too much to ask, trusting someone like that.

indiepop, meaning jingle jangle guitars and Byrds-like harmonies with killer bass lines, judging by the only song I know, which is "sorry to embarass you," included in the usual Rough Trade compilation. This song struck me like few others; it grabs me a lot, it feels perfect, yes, perfect. Maybe it’s just my weakness. The harmonies are incredibly delicate, and the bass line is mesmerizing. I think you might find it on Soulseek to download, but I’m not sure.

I imagine that this record isn't easy to find, especially at reasonable prices that don't exceed 20 euros. I'm also intrigued by a band called Razorcuts. There's a compilation called R..is for Razorcuts that just came out, but that one will also be hard to find. Aside from Amazon, which seems to be the only option.

What a drag this idea is that today's youth must necessarily idolize the old. We already live in a gerontophilic and gerontiatric society, and if one always has to worship the elderly... I'm not saying that we shouldn't know rock history—quite the opposite! But there has to be a middle ground, for God's sake! A young band is always a breath of fresh air simply for being young. They will have the energy and drive to break through that comes with youth. Otherwise, let’s shut down Western society for senile dementia and call it a day. And I want to clarify that I'm not particularly young, having passed my thirties.

a somewhat snobbish review, to say the least. Too bad because it wasn't bad. What a disappointment for the reviewer to know that the album is everywhere!

good review. however, I have love missile and on vinyl but I’ve never seen all this successful referencing, just a song full of special effects. the equivalent of today’s Hollywood films that obscure the emptiness of content with the smoke of effects.

I’m kicking off the comments with: I know sorry for laughing from the Rough Trade compilation on indie pop (which by the way I reviewed here on Debaser and I highly recommend Mike76 if you like the genre because it’s really good) and it’s a great track, this album intrigues me a lot. And good review!
