The Lotus Eaters, a very particular group from the '80s, very young guys, calm, romantic, with good energy and prospects for the future, which they did not exploit and cultivate, thus stopping at just one album. The lotus eaters, Peter Coyle, Jerry Kelly, Mike Dempsey (ex Cure), Gerard Queen, and Stephen Creese, recorded only one album in 1984 “No Sense Of Sin”, preceded by the release of the single “The First Picture Of You” which achieved great success in the British charts, appeared and disappeared like lightning out of the blue.
Very fresh pieces of romantic new age, light, catchy, graceful melodies, that give a sense of color and warmth, not very demanding but very dynamic and still pleasant to listen to. After four years, they recorded other tracks, which unfortunately never hit the stores. No Sense of Sin and The First Picture Of You are now hard to find records, but they are worth looking for like a treasure hunt for an interesting booty.
"The single 'The First Picture Of You' was released as a calling card for radios all across Europe, dominated the airwaves, and took the Lotus Eaters to the top of the charts."
"'No Sense Of Sin' opened the doors to a group that had a lot to offer in terms of creativity but only partially managed to live up to its expectations."
